Aaah. I played the whole game with 1 mage in party except for Zevran ambush. 2 mages in party make everything much easier.

Oh god, zevran ambush was... deadly. now THAT is something worthy of the crows I suppose. I think that one took me as long as the desire demon + templars battle, if not longer... that was difficult.

For Zevran ambush I either recommend removing difficulty tweak or taking 2 mages with glyphs. 2x paralysis explosion disables archers on both cliffs. If you add to that 2x crushing prison and 2x force field then it's rather easy.

Yeah, I hate those thumbs down without an explanation why. Anyway...finally got everything set so it does not chew my ass up so quickly. Been playing using your normal difficulty but the dam archers were eating my sack lunch. So I had to take out the normal difficulty, I did ok hand to hand, but the archers.....sheesh. ;-) Any chance of making the archers a little less hard hitting?

Archers are buffed by Combat Tweeks, not by FCR. I also had hard times on very hard difficulty. Scattershot is a killer but I quickly adapted to deal with it. The key is learning proper spells. I deliberately played with 2 warriors, rogue archer, mage setup to check if all fights are possible to win. Replacing 1 warrior or archer with second mage makes the game much easier. Just start the fight with paralysis explosion or mass paralyse or other AoE.

Sounds good. I just couldn't believe how quickly the Archers were bringing everybody down, even if I tried to rush them. ;-) Thanks for the advice. ;-)

Archers are now pretty nuts, also with slinks random drops the enemies can get really well equipped too, so utilising ranged with melee combat becomes essential. Using CT here too, so really have to watch those damn archers as a combat Rogue. Suddenly Fade has a huge implication ingame

This is one of my other playgrounds, though you seem to have made more than a couple of morphs!
Loving this mod though. Makes all Darkspawn really hard! I am having some serious issues with low lvl characters in Ostagar and Korcari Wilds. If it hadn't been for Alistair getting bugged when I force removed some armour I wouldn't have survived the first time (though I went back because he was way too hard afterwards with base armour of 77!).

If you are playing without difficulty tweaks, orange Hard rank is an equivalent of "normal" rank from vanilla game. Ostagar shouldn't be hard, especially that you can lower difficulty further in in-game options.
As for my tips for Ostagar, investing in some traps is well worth the money and skills of temporary companions.
