montarazvz
Hey fellas! So I feel like I finished Skyrim (you never really finish these games) and I am ready to try the expansions (or DLCs), but was wondering if I should install them all or one by one, not sure if it would be feel better to do the content in the order it came out, if there is any conflicts in story plots of any kind, are they all different maps? So basically if I should play them all together or one by one. Thanks!
Hyacathusarullistad
There's no story conflicts between the DLCs whatsoever. You can play them in whichever order you like, though I personally prefer to do Dragonborn last. Dawnguard takes place primarily in the Skyrim worldspace but adds a handful of dungeons, one of which leads to a sort of "hidden" worldspace akin to Skuldafn -- but bigger. Dragonborn takes place in an entirely new worldspace accessed by boat from Windhelm.
notmyhome
It's worth mentioning that Dawnguard adds random vampire raids, which might kill important NPCs.

stoaty6666
all are good but I would also play dragonborn last.
ManleySteele
I prefer to play Dawnguard and Dragonborn in different playthroughs. The only interference that I've found is that they are too close together in level requirements. Finish one and you're over leveled for the other. Hearthfire is a different kind of problem, play-wise. I think you'll find it hard to play a completionist type of game for Hearthfire. instead you will need to learn enough about each available home to make choices. Or , at least, that's the way I found it. You may be able to play it.
DreadedKat
Dawngaurd is amazing it adds Dragonbone stuff and crossbows and you feel more attached to the characters than Dragonborn oh and Laura Bailey is in it. Dragonborn adds a new armor set that I cant pronounce and you can ride dragons but I felt it was a bit lonely. Hearthfire is the sims in Skyrim. fraquar
Dawnguard seems like it's meant to be played first, if for no other reason than you can start it without even going down the Main Quest line at all. In fact, if you use Alternate Start, your character is pretty much like most every NPC in the game - the whole "Dragonborn" thing seems more like a myth than reality. Dragons? Ha!!!! Dragonborn requires you to go down the Main Quest line at least as far as killing your first dragon - and I'll be honest when I say that once I've been outted as the Dragonborn it's nearly impossible for the rest of the game content to get my attention. Doesn't seem right to put the rest of the world on hold while I go off doing this, that and the other. Personally, I find it hard playing both in the same playthrough. If I do, I have to do ALOT of adventuring before I get anywhere near the Main Quest.
dragonslayer2k12
Dawnguard may send you to locations in dragonborn to find things:-( so if you install all dlc at once then you have to places you don't want to go to yet.
