hi, i have the oblivion guidebook

it says that when you wear the gray cowl from the gray fox, you get an instant bounty of 500 and an infamy of 100.

it also says that when your combined fame and infamy values reaches 10/20/30/40/50/60/70 you get a greater power from a heaven stone. these powers are better than the birthsign powers, and they are not like scrolls or buffs, they are powers that you cast for different two minute effects

what happens if i wear the cowl, access all the seven heaven stones, and take it off later? will i still have the powers?

You can get these powers without the cowl so I can't imagine you would lose them.

i dont think you can get the powers from the heaven stones with the cowl equipped if you dont have the required fame/infamy on beforehand since the cowl ability is a temprorary affect, for example when you boost your blade skill for 90 to 100 with some added effect you dont become a master of the skill if it is a temproray effect, but you do gain the +to damage abilities. but if it does work you definetely wont lose them when removing the cowl.
