Kriiks Posted October 24, 2014 Share Posted October 24, 2014 Depends, what master file was missing ;) You can see how master file (esp or esm file from mod, what you don't have) is called, if you look esp what's caused your crash in NMM or Wrye Bash. If you select that esp, you can see in right window, what esp or esm is required to run that plugin. If even one is missing from your loadlist, your game will crash at startup.Wrye Bash example is very good for solving such problems quickly. It gives you very noticeable red warning box by esp, what is missing master file.If it was just a patch what was missing master file, then you most likely don't "need" that master. It's added to make sure, that two certain mods can work together without problems. If you dont have both installed, you don't need the patch.
