Found a possible conflict.

It seems something from Sneak Detection Recalibrated and this mod causes this annoying full screen flash that stays for about a second to at least 5 seconds. Enough time to die from either hostile action or blindness induced accidental fatality.

It happens with night-eye effects and probably a few other spells too.

This is an awesome mod, and I'll still endorse it but it is still just an aesthetic one and I'd rather have SDR on my modlist.

Keep being awesome and strive to become awesome-er okay?

Correction, it happens when the auto-night-eye shader effect transitions between dark and light, and occurs as well when casting certain spells/staves.

The timing on this is fortuitous.  I've been working on a new version of SDR that is being alpha tested now, and I've been wanting to try out Improved Water.

I downloaded, installed it, switched over to HDR (usually I play with bloom), and gave it a whirl.  I have a character who can toggle night-eye on or off.  So I went in and out of the water with the night eye effect on, and I didn't have any problems at all.

Improved water is amazing.  I absolutely love it.  And in my very brief time with it, I didn't have any conflicts with the new SDR.

If you are feeling brave and want to try an Alpha version of SDR to see if you run into the same issues, you can download it here:  http://www.saebel.net/SDR/sdrAlpha.php

On a side note, SDR also uses hlsl shader system, so there is a possibility of a conflict between the mods, but odds are that it will be extraordinarily rare.  Improved water is modifying the actual water itself.  SDR just modifies the 2D image of the screen.  So basically SDR layers effects on top of everyone else's.

However, if you do run into problems, I am more than happy to make sure these mods can work together.

I can confirm that IW and ATE seem incompatible (water - seen from above water level - disappears completely, underwater is fine; looking forward to some solution from you guys). With vanilla it's great and performance... I can't remember the last time my game ran so smooth and fast. :) The only thing when comparing it to Liquid Water, I miss all the LW's ini tweaks for turbidity, colour, and caustics (!). Besides, the feeling when I'm underwater (and I am quite often, because my Breton has developed sort of pseudo-gills and tries to use that feature in combat), doesn't really match the weather conditions - usually it's brighter and more cheerful underwater than it is above the surface (but it may be my ENB - Cinematic ENB + Sweet FX right now).

Overall it's a great, actually lifesaving, or FPS-saving mod which makes water look almost as good as LW, at significantly lesser cost to performance. With more tweaks - which hopefully may be expected - it's going to be the mod of the year (or more). Well, it already is... :)

Yes. ATE and IW doesn't work. There is one (or more) effect that conflicts.

You wrote: "The only thing when comparing it to Liquid Water, I miss all the LW's ini tweaks for turbidity, colour, and caustics" .....!????!?! You have ini tweaks and unique locations in the water.ini in your ImprovedWater folder!!
The underwater color correctly matches the weather condition if you have the esp enabled. Did you enable the esp and remove any other mod that could change the water settings?

In response to post #20112324. #20113999 is also a reply to the same post.

Oh, I'm sorry, I've never noticed that impressive ini in the shaders folder! I saw the one in OBSE Plugins folder and didn't look anywhere else. Allright, I see a great tweakig potential here. Will be back with more exclamation marks soon :D

The description says:
- Water.ini in the Shaders\ImprovedWater folder. It contains parameters for the water rendering about default values for water and unique locations. IW provide the GetLocationName console command to know your location and create your own parameters.

I've been modding Oblivion so long that some things I tend to do routinely, and this is what happens ;) Yes, that also means that I only skim readmes... Mea culpa.
Thanks again for a wonderful mod.
