Enb Framerate

Ranger641

Recommended Posts

Being an avid taker of screenshots, I cannot live without an ENB, problem is, it turns my skyrim into a 10fps hell hole.

I have been using ENB for a long time and know there is a large FPS drop to sacrafice, but 10 FPS? Its crazy.

I have an Intel Core i5-3330 Cpu, and a GTX 650 (pretty sure its 4gb) and 8gb of RAM.

Should the FPS drop be that big? from 60 down to 10.

Even without the 2k textures and just default skyrim, its 10-15.

So is it just my specs or is it something else?

thanks

The GTX 650 is a rather mid-range card, sufficient for Skyrim on ULTRA settings.... but may cripple under modded textures and an ENB. So, unless you have a light/performance/gameplay ENB, you'll have to disable some ENB features to get some framerate.

Which ENB are you using? Lately, a fair bit of newly-released ENBs are geared towards the higher-end GPUs.

Well, I swap between ENB's a lot, I've recently been using Somber, Project Enb and Tamriel Reloaded,

What ENB setting would you reccomend to disable? (Without an extremely noticeable graphic loss)

Thanks

Open the IN-game menu for ENB>>[shift + Enter]...in the second box down , near the top is all the Global settings, start turning things off one at a time and watch the header of the upper box as that has the FPS.

MY ENB (Serenity) is turned on fully and it costs me 20 -30 FPS...:) takes me from 60 FPS to a steady 30 FPS...i can live with that!
