Qarl's Texture Pack, to be sure. I would have grown bored with Oblivion's visuals years ago if it wasn't for that performance-sapping hog. XD

A mod to improve the UI. DarnUI preferred, though I tried BTmod and I liked it too.

For now I'm totally fine with Francesco's. Of course, it changes a lot including several mods, but the most important thing for me was stopping the creatures/enemies' levelling.

Everything else is good-/great-to-have, but essential is that levelling.

Next thing I might try is visually enhancement, and then ...
for sure, nude mod :P I just NEED to show my wife.

She loved the game Fable and compares everything with it. Show her a game? "It's not like Fable!"

Too bad her English isn't that good so she can't really enjoy my Steam version.

Uh - makes me think of a language conversion mod, don't know if something like that exists. THAT would be me wife's number 1 mod (THEN Francesco, then, uhm .... I'd install her a nudity mod :P).

For me. I must say Oscuro's. That Overhaul is a must have for me every single time I install the game or start a new game. I remember that when I first built this computer, and stopped playing Oblivion on the Xbox, OOO (Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul) was the first mod that I downloaded, along with and alternate start haha, and it forever changed my look on things. But even though I have played this game for three years now, and counting, I have never installed the epic FCOM. And I really need to lol.

But without OOO I cannot play Oblivion at all. That would have to be my pick for most essential.

wow, too many to list, but here's 10 off the top of my head:

1. My own sword mod: Carsomyr v2.
2. Jojjo's Frostmourne mod (reason I even started playing Oblivion)
3. Unnecessary Violence 1 (soon to be replaced with version2)
4. MMM
5. Lost Paladins of the Divine and the helmet I designed to go with it.
6. Several different companion mods including CM, Valeria, Viconia, Ejya.
7. Akatosh mounts and the mesh edit I'm working on.
8 Thieves Arsenal
9. My soon to be released Stealth Wars.
10. One of the hotkey mods that extend it to four different slots (can't remember the name)
