Could the problem be that it isn't installed on the C drive or what?

Copy your dazip files into the ..\DAO-Modmanager_1_9d-277\mods\dazip folder, run DAMM, right-click on the icon for the dazip you want select install.
You may need to go into DAMM - Options Tab and set your folder paths manually.

How can I get dazip files associated with DAMod Manager? I've been into properties, navigated my way to my second HD where I have it installed, selected it as the program, clicked apply and it just isn't happening.
Could the problem be that it isn't installed on the C drive or what?
Right click the file, select "Open With", browse to DAMM, select, check the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file," click Open.

That is the problem, I clicked on another program by accident and now I can't change the file association to DAMM for some stupid reason only MS know, so if I want to install a dazip file without using DAMM which I have done for various reasons in the past I can't
OK I've just had a thought DAO has it's own thing I think it's called 'updater' do you know where I can find that, I just nipped off and did a quick search and nothing is coming up? I thought I might try to associate the files with that instead.

I would still like to find where the updater should be as the Chargen compiler mod is saying it can't find it in the DAO program folder.

@Ell; If you look closely, Terra_Ex's CharGen Compliler correctly recognizes that on a Win7 system, "daorigins.exe" will be under the "Program Files (x86)" folder, but it has inserted "\bioware" before "\dragon age" in the path. You have to select the "modify path manually" option and delete the erroneous addition to the program's path.
OK part of the problem is solved, if anyone else gets this problem with Win7 file associations this is what I've just done installed and run CCleaner on the registry and it found problems with DAMM so I clicked the fix button then went back and tried again to change the file association and it works.
I would still like to find where the updater should be as the Chargen compiler mod is saying it can't find it in the DAO program folder.
NB: The CharGen Compliler does get it right in that there is, however, a "\bioware" in the path leading to the correct override folder under your "[user's documents]".

I've since had a look around and it seems that when I copy folders and files to my external HD it is converting them all to read only, why the packages folder in DA has installed as read only seems a bit strange, perhaps a look at the folder settings is called for.
Do you know if there should be a folder called Bioware in C:\Program etc\Dragon Age? I seem to remember in my previous install there was one, but I can't remember for sure.
