I was rather disappointed that there was no sex in Awakening, not even a brothel for our rambunctious young hero to stop off for some relief. Does anyone know if this will be remedied in DA2? (as in, will the PC be able to have sexual encounters and/or romances?)

Because sex is fun? It's something to take the edge off all that combat as well as adding an interesting feature to the relationships. Just remember, sex is only dirty when you're doing it right

For me the sex scenes are totally irrelevant and in a lot of ways utterly pointless. Not that I'm a prude, I just don't see the point of them in a game. It's an intimate relationship between two people, not something to be voyeured over...

Even so it seems Bioware wants sex in all their current series of games so yup DA2 gets sex...

You people are disgusting. Really, sex? Romances are suppose to be more tasteful, not two pixel people rubbing each other. Sorry if it sounds prude but romances is about connection and is a powerful tool when used in a story. So yes there will be sex, enjoy it while you can.

I wouldn't mind a Happily Ever After in my Dragon Age game personally, too bad Bioware doesn't want to write a happily ever after in :<.
I just wish the PC will have more of a personally vendetta that pushes them in the direction they are going, aside from doing the task out of duty. Our PC needs their own personal reason to fight.

I don't mind relationships in games either, but when it goes past intimate to showing sex, I find it a little odd. Why feel the need to watch that when doing it is so much better. Also it's never sit right with me as I consider sex to be an important, but private time between the lovers. To have it shown onscreen is just a bit crass...

Its like people have lost their ability to imagine the act and need to watch it now instead.

To those who are accusing themselves of being prudish, I must disagree. You are being honest, and being yourselves which is very cool. There is nothing in the game that forces you to have the characters have sex, you can always say no or sometimes maybe I sometimes play a character that way. The beauty of the game is that in addition to that option, we have the option to be randy little nug fornicators and shag everything in sight. Throw in a few adult mods and... well, you know. Everyone gets the opportunity to play it their own way or every way, whatever floats your boat.

Now if they start rigging the storyline to force you to have sex in game, I can see people objecting and rightly so but as long as it is just an option and not a requirement, nobody should be complaining.
