- Make sure your Skyrim game is up-to-date.
- Make sure SKSE is also up-to-date.
- Download and install RaceCompatibility and any of it's requirements.
- Run the Ningheim Race Mod using the provided NMM installer in the downloads section.
- Choose the first option (non-Dawnguard version) when selecting a version to install.
- Continue with all of the installation options based on your own preferences.
- When asked to choose a race skeleton choose the first option.
- Download and install FNIS (Fores New Idles in Skyrim; this is a requirement for the skeleton) and then run the GenerateFNISForUsers file.
- In the FNIS program, select the box that says Skeleton Arm Fix and then press the button that says Update FNIS Behavior.
- When it's finished updating press the Exit button; Do not exit the program by pressing the X in the window.
- Run LOOT to sort your load order.
- Launch the game using the SKSE launcher and not the main Skyrim launcher.
Play the game and tell me again whether or not the problem persists. If necessary, disable and re-enable the race's plugin file in the Skyrim launcher. If the problem persists, then I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm fairly certain this is a skeleton/animation issue now.
Edit: I've just got my new computer set up tonight and I've decided that I'm going to start from scratch and rebuild my load order. This mod is on that list and when I get to installing it, I'll let you know what I did to ensure proper installation.
