Thanks Lady Chaos - aye the stormy weather and water was just epic in this world - the screenshots totally does NOT do it justice since it is static.

Thank you for the great comment Nataly. I almost dedicated the story to you as it was in part prompted by our recent discussions on Dannee, the Dreamsleeve, and views on the afterlife.

I put my own twist on it of course. While no one noted it the Old Wolf, of course, is Hircine along with Erik, Wolfgar, and Grim. This story was also my way of a showing one *possible* teaser of what Grim's future might look like. I have actually finished all of Grim's story with Fenrir as far as plot line, endings, resolutions, and how it will all work out. I have actually been working on that for a while but I wrapped it all up this week. I have to say I think it is going to be epic and very fitting to Grim and my own style of writing and hopefully a few (or perhaps a lot) of surprises for everyone who has followed him this far.

I just need to do the screenshots and then flesh out my skeleton outlines for each chapter. I am actually looking forward to it but I do want to enjoy my break so I avoid burn out. Althugh even there I could not resist this little side story as it not only connects Grim Fenrir to Grim Adaar but touches up Grim's actual existence here in Skyrim.

DAI is very different then Skyrim and many people may be surprised but on a core level I find the Skyrim engine, if not as pretty, to be more robust. The facial details in DAI are so good I got unsettled making the characters faces ... yet they did a very poor job of attaching the heads to the body sadly and I have seen to many instances of glitches of head/body. However it is a fun game and very engaging. But it is no skyrim and like most sandbox games I miss a lot of the freedom. Still it is exciting to play something new and to explore a new world and a new battle for Grim :)

Aye I could not help myself - I just sometimes have a story that won't leave me be unless I write it. I like back stories for my characters in-game even if I write them only for myself. I have only shared that small introduction to Grim Adaar as it would not be right to publish a full story of him here in Grim Fenrir's life :) But then again it is the same Grim so the personality is roughly the same if the context is different.

And you did mention the prince of the hunt so I see a few picked up on the fact that it is Hircine in the story. This was my little teaser of some possible futures for Grim in a way - one path among many he may end up on when I finish Fenrir's story. Thanks very much for commenting and taking a little time out from your own adventures in Thedas to do so - much appreciated!

Thank you for taking the time to comment and stop by Farvat as I know you have been busy and have your own things to deal with. DAI is far more limited in many ways compared to skyrim - no modding that I know of (and if there will be some I expect it to be limited), no ENB, no plethora of console commands, etc) - and I do miss the ability to really tell my own story. With Grim Fenrirson I have been able to totally write an entire three book story of my own advising as I wished to - and used the existing skyrim quests merely as a framework with which to make things a bit easier to write around since it is a common frame of reference.

That being said I am enjoying DAI immensely even with some of its faults and lack of freedom (oh how I miss more camera freedom and the ability to take off my shirt and have Grim Adaar be more barbaric ... but alas you can't even do that). The story is fun (for me) and I have needed this break. It won't have the replay value of Skyrim by any means but the first 1 or 2 times it will be fun.

The idea of Grim becoming Grimess would be good but I simply do not enjoy playing as a female in games and have tried a few times. One would think I would enjoy it as I could then romance all the male leads ... and I tried that in DAO with Alistair ... but I have a lack of connection. I suppose I should force myself to do it at some point as it would be a good learning experience. Hmm I shall give it more thought. Especially since Grim will live many lives as female and many other races, creatures, etc - for if he ever does take Fenrir's place he will need to understand many races and genders at some level.

On a side note this "dream" is somewhat my own personal dream constantly evolving ever since I was a teenager. I am very pragmatic and skeptical of anything that science can't prove ... but when life becomes really hard to cope with I like to day dream about "what ifs" and what might someone do for eternity besides the endless sleep? In some ways it is something like this - rebirth and renewal through countless life's with the hope of slowly evolving into something more. Of course being human our minds are always asking "what then?" and my only answer to that is that perhaps at some point asking such a question will be meaningless for it is only a human limitation that we ask it in the first place.

PS - Writing is addictive but a more healthy version than say a drug addiction. I find writing keeps my mind very active and sharp. The more I write the more easily words express themselves and the more words that come into consciousness - it becomes easier to put thoughts into words for people to read and my vocabulary and grammar have both been improving as well. Plus I find it a natural way of coping with the harshness of life at times.

Bwah haw haw har!!!! I was reading this thinking, all good, all good... then BAM!!! Up pops a Quinari!! Freaking awesome hon. You little teaser you...

Be nice if DAI had a Nexus though (in all seriousness) so we could start uploading images there.... hint hint Dark One if you happen to be reading this comment!

Hehehe... :D

As for a DAI Nexus, it'll be automatically created when someone uploads a mod for DAI and classes it as such. Nexus staff don't have to create sub-Nexuses manually any more. (And the upload wizard already has DAI in the dropdown list, albeit with a "(0)" for "zero mods".)

In response to post #20309964. #20312959 is also a reply to the same post.

@Jessb - Thanks :) Thought it was a nice way to show Grim in a different universe while also tying it into his own story in Skyrim. Plus an excuse to write a little bit. Appreciate you checking it out.

@Aaron - That was what I was thinking - that they get self made now once something is added. Just not sure how open DAI will be to modding.
