Dragon Age: Origins Bug Fixes Compatibility

So, I recently discovered a mod that fixes a lot of DAO bugs. It's called Magenta Emerald (http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/3411/?). But I've also seen some of the other users' comment that some of the fixes are not compatible with other mods which I used.

 

Can someone kind enough point me which file should I copied to the override folder if I've also used:

6. Golem Registry and Shapers Life Reward Fix (http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/335/?)

7. Unobtainable item BUGFIX (http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/1262/?)

There is really only one way to know "which files to keep from which mod", and that's to go through the entire list of them in all the mods you want to use and see which ones are duplicated, determine which changes from which mod you want to keep, and delete the files with the same name from the other mods before you install them.

 

Making things even more complicated is that the way the Eclipse engine loads files into the game is dependent upon your mod folders' structure and naming, Since the player has a lot of flexibility in where to put, and how to name, things within the "\override" folder, two players with the exact same set of mods can have different elements of different ones be active in their respective games.

 

So even asking "Which mod is 'conflicting' with this other one?" won't necessarily get the same answer from everyone else, or the right answer for you!

 

My basic approach is to load the mods I want, play the game, and when notice that one of them isn't behaving the way I expect I investigate that specific one. Once I've found the other mod(s) with the duplicate filename, I figure out which mod's changes I want to use based on my personal preferences. Or, more often, I shrug and say, "Oh well, it's a great game anyway! I'll live with it," :thumbsup:
