Saved Connor and Isolde by having Jowan enter the fade to kill the demon.

During post coronation Eamon asks "Have you noticed anything Strange about Connor?" as if I allowed him to remain possessed.

Tried reloading and looked at arl_debug but without success.

 

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I don't want to load all the way back at the beginning but I don't want to continue playing with the game reading Connor as possessed.

There are quite a few bugs in the flags for Redcliffe/Connor's fate  which result in incorrect dialogue and epilogue slides. If it is any consolation, there's no real reason to replay or expend effort on solving the bug, as that story line does not feature in the DAO expansion or DLC, is not referenced or continued in DA2, and there is no save importing at all into DA:I.

Well, your particular resolution of the "Redcliffe Demon" problem is one of the (many, many) plot choices you can specify in the Dragon Age Keep  to establish your preferred initial world-state for DA: Inquisition.  Whether that decision has any in-game impact I can't say, since I've only just started my first DA:I playthrough.
