Hey nexus family! So I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in taking me under their wing and parting some good knowledgez to me! I'm an aspiring game designer (lol as most of us here probably are) and I'd like to start by creating a few mods 
Some ideas I have are for armors and weapons but my big idea is a full fledged story with factions and a custom race (yes, it's ambitious and i definitely don't expect to be able to just easily hash out a big complicated mod right away, though that would be the bees knees) I'd love to network with others, and just learn anything you think would be useful! Maybe you need help with something small, or maybe you have a great tutorial to recommend. Any pointers or things you think I should be prepared for would be great! I would love to be more involved in the community and slowly work my way up to design pro. I love writing stories, creating characters, I'm a digital art junkie and also create with pencil, clay and spray paints. I want to transfer these skills into game design as I've been an avid player since I was little, this is something that gets my engine roaring and I want to start doing anything I can to achieve that dream. If you are a game designer/developer yourself, i'd love to hear how you got to where you are now and how I can make my way there also. I originally considered enrolling into college for a Game Design course but have been advised by a few people to avoid that path, so if there is an alternative route or maybe some small courses I can take in place, I'd love to hear about it!
