Hey all. I am having an issue with my game. Just random CTDs. Nothing special about them (as in they happen from doing just about anything including just standing). I link to a video with the issue if you are curious of exactly what happens. Mod list below. I am running Seasons of Skyrim ENB. I tried turning it off but it didn't change anything. However with the ENB on textures randomly turn black. Very odd but either way the game crashes. I already game the game more memory (768 for first block and 512 for second with latest version of SKSE) and check the Memory Block Log and the issue is not that I am running out of memory. Would love some help. I haven't played Skyrim in 5 weeks

Your making all the worst mistakes.

 

1st, Don't mod the game until after you have cleared Helgen....

Bear in mind that some mods require to be placed in before game start such as Requiem

 

Example of a mod that can cause issue HDT anything, its not ideal to play helgen intro with the body replacer and skeleton you have picked.

Further more you will have issue with Touring Caraiges and its a known issue, as in you will always not be able to 100% use this without issue with your choice of body and skeleton.

-I use HDT physics all the time, bear in mind that not riding caraiges is known issue.

 

 

2K Textures were pre-ENB and also Pre-HD Beth Texture Pack.  So basically the base game Texture Pack is sometimes thought to be the better choice than 2K....Basically ditch the 2K packs.

 

I would not use MFG consul, you have Racemenu

 

You have a 7B body replacer and CBBE armor packs in same game....Pick one body type and stick with it.

 

You should be using Pure Water alongside Pure Weather.

 

There are a number of mods in here that will take some trail and error to get working even when you start to know what your doing.

HDT-effects, it takes some work...even then if its working you should have never actually made it through the Carriage Ride because it would have flown off into the horizon if it was in fact working.

Under no circumstance should you be able to get helgen complete reliably with these mods installed.

Its ambitious to start a new game with so many mods installed as a new modder.

 

Please start over with fewer mods in your game at start.

 

Many of the mods in your list will cause severe issues with the Helgen start if working properly. HDT-Physics and skeleton

 

Some of your mod choices are no longer the best picks available due to newer stuff being out.  2K Tex Pack

 

Some of your choices may not produce ideal results, mixed body and armor types.

 

Then there's mixed weather and environment stuff.

 

 

Best Practice is

Get through Helgen without mods installed and make a "clean and unmodded save"

 

I know Requiem wants to start right away and yes its feasible.

 

Some things to consider getting and soon.  These Tweaks are not actually optional for any modder that is serious these are Manditory tweaks.

Its great to get started modding, cause you bypass Helgen issue altogether.

It is a testament to your gaming rig that you made it as far as you did in the intro.   I was surprised.   Mods and Helgen intro just do not get along.

Alright first off, thanks for the help. Also I have been modding skyrim for almost 2 years now so I'm not very new to how it works. Also I am running skyrim unbound normally. The only reason I wasn't using it was because I wanted to know I could demonstrate the issue and the intro seems to be good at that. When I get home again I will definitely try out your suggestions. Also if you have a replacement mod I could use instead of the 2k skyrim stuff that would be wonderful. Thanks again and happy turkey day if you celebrate it
