DragoonFurey, i know what you mean. Ive had arrows fly through the side of an Ogrim before. The collison detection is slightly suspect, methinks.

Right, to answer everyones question:

1. My skill is 35-36 (i started with it as a Major skill)
2. My fatigue is usually at full. When i go hunting i usually walk a bit to let it reach full again
3. Crosshairs are on (didnt know you could turn them off - pretty useless anyway). I'm in 2st Person (knida obvious  )
4. I'm using either Chitin arrows or Iron arrows that i found on a corpse

Last point about Trib, i thought that being attacked by the Dark Brotherhood guys (who have really good armour - gracias :P ) overruled the Trib beginning?

It is the Trib beginning to be attacked by the DB (you get a journal entry) and then you need to speak to a gaurd (anyone will do)

Had a thought about the bow. The bow is held in the right hand and the arrow fired on the right hand side, this may be why the bow pulls a little to the right.

There's logic speaking Pob :D

I thought it was the BM beginning? I read in the little pamphlet you get in the box saying you get attacked in your sleep, like the Trib beginning. So i assumed that the DB lot were from BM rather than Trib. Cheers for the info. Hang on a sec, that means i'm still going to have some fool from BM attack me as well...

Thanks for the thoght about the bow. But would Bethesda put that much detail into the physics? It would be nice if they did (wink, wink, ES IV) but may be beyond the engine at this point?

Bloodmoon is activated via the "Latest Rumours" dialogue, not an assassin.

However, it is just as annoying because the "Latest Rumours" dialogue works for every NPC in the game after that, and always talks about Solstheim.

Re Trib trigger. Sometimes you can 'rest' several times before the first DB attack. The booklet implies up to three but I've had a lot more than that.

well assuming that Marksman skill 50 means you hit 50% of the time, then won't having marksman 35 will severely decrease the chance of hitting the target. I played as a Woodelf Marksman, I started with Marksman as 50 and I still couldn't hit stuff first time til it was about 70ish?

I have noticed that (generally) what is more important than a high skill is the high related stat (not the case with some skills, but is with others). In partcular agility in combat seems to determine your chance to hit, so high agility hits more often and while high skill helps, high stat has more influence. This may influence why the bow isn't working properly

So, does everyone think that Bethesda severly messed up how the bows work, or at least made them too complex?
