Hi everyone, hope you can help me with a question. I have been playing with Roland in my party ever since I recruited him in Lothering and I love this mod. However, my romance with him is not progressing very fast and I am pretty much out of dialogue options most of the time. I was checking around the forums here to see if maybe I am doing something wrong or whether this is normal and will get resolved in time and came across a post that said you have to take Roland in the Fade in order to trigger a certain dialogue??? Is this absolutely necessary for the romance to progress normally? Because I did take Roland to the mage tower, but left him out when I had to recruit Wynne (simply because Alistair was a better fighter at that point, Wynne had to come for full mage support and I wanted to have a rogue for unlocking chests, so kept Leliana around...). So he did come to the tower, but never entered the fade with me. Have I screwed things up irrevokably?
Areas I've visited with him: Lothering, Mage Circle, Lake Calenhad, Redcliffe, Denerim. That's pretty much where I am in the game. Romance-wise he is still shy with me (one time he mentioned he would like to have more personal talks with me but that's it. As for his traumatic past, he has not revealed all that much. Last he said he is not ready to talk about it when I pressed him.
Hope you can help me! Thank you!

Every time you enter a new area with him in your party attempt to start a dialogue. Many times you will get something new and others it will be the usual and you just say nevermind. Eventually you will get the romance options if you get your approval with him high enough. Give him a few of those gifts that dog finds to help out.

Thank you, I think it was a bit my fault too because the first 10 or so times I checked the option to talk about the past it was totally empty and presumed it was only there for the noble origin players who had a past with him (d'oh!). Clicked it again earlier and saw that there is now dialogue available there, a relief!
So the fact that I left him out of my party when I entered the fade shouldn't matter?

You won't get to see his fade-dream but he's not a mage so why would it have any other effect on him?
