Just just having infinite ammo for companions enabled break the mod, or is it safe to turn it on for everyone BUT Brisa? The one I have lets you toggle it.

If you can exclude Brisa it SHOULD be ok. I could be wrong.

Yes, should be fine for the others if you exclude Brisa.

Excellent mod !!

When using the apparel slots, is there a way to have/add  jewelry items, that are common to ALL slots ? Say I have a necklace and earrings that I always want her to wear. Do I have to have 7 of them, to individually put in each of the seven slots, or is there a slot / option that I can't seem to find,where I put 1 of each and she wears them even if I change her clothing / armor?

I guess better late than never, but I just did a play-through of Mothership Zeta. I was really surprised that Brisa showed up, but ......
She was absolutely useless, other than being a tag-along paperweight. I had no problems talking to her or giving her things. She just refused to acknowledge that any of the aliens were even there, and would not help me at all. The aliens seemed to ignore her as well. Several times I got my butt kicked good while she just stood there and watched. Near the end of the 2nd quest, I ended up calling in Sydney and Jessi to help out, and they functioned fine against the aliens etal.. :/ Is this how Brisa was designed to function outside of the Wastes?

EDIT: Update ....... Something strange has happened with Brisa since she showed up on M Zeta. I'm back in the Wastes and she still refuses to fight any humans or creatures. Her status shows full health, but randomly, when I click to talk to her, a box will pop up giving me the option to heal her or myself with Alien Bio gel. In the options I have reset everything I could and did the "setplayerteammate 1". Nothing has seemed to change her. Any help would be appreciated to get her back to fully working.

Possibly.

Using your mod manager, just open the main zip file that you downloaded and let it install by itself. IF you have DLC installed, make sure you also download DLC Patch 1.31 under optional files. Open this file in your mod manager and when prompted say NO to upgrade, and YES to overwrite. Make sure both the .esm and .esp files are checked and turned on in your mod manager plugin list.

Manual install;

From the Nexus Brisa page, download the main file Brisa v1.30, AND under Optional Files, DLC Patch 1.31. Make a folder named "Temp" or whatever you want to call it. Extract Brisa 1.30 to the TEMP folder you made. After it's extracted open the Temp folder. There will be a folder in there called "00Core" . IF you have DLC installed in New Vegas, you will see another folder called "10 DLC ESP". Open it and copy the Brisa DLC.esp file and put it in the "00 Core" folder. Now, extract the other file you downloaded DLC Patch 1.31 to the Temp folder. Copy the extracted file to the 00 Core folder and let it replace the one that is already in there. In the 00 Core folder there should 3 files; Brisa DLC.esp, Main.BSA and Brisa.esm. Highlight ALL 3 files and click COPY. Now go to your game directory, wherever you have it installed, and open the DATA folder. Paste these files in there. DO NOT put them in the Fallout 3 folder, make sure to put them in the DATA folder. Start your mod manager and make sure the Brisa.esm AND the Brisa DLC.esp are BOTH checked and turned on.

Great mod, but I seem to have a problem. I tend to crash when in combat with her as an companion, and if I deactivate the mod I never crash. It seems to crash after she starts to shoot at times, others if she is under heavy fire. I am using FWE and using the compatibility patch. Any thoughts?
