I have preordered the SE it was the same price as the other, but there is no mention in the blurb of any freebies, except free P&P. I can still cancel but don't see why I should have to I'll email Amazon and take them to task on this.

Are the goodies listed or do you get a choice, if I know what's being offered I can be more specific in my email, if I can take on Virgin media and win I can damned well take on Amazon.

I have been wondering if there would be vouchers in the packs to redeem against DLC as they did with DAO.

All the goodies come with the SE. Up in all it should be $20 worth of free goods

Edit: The SE should cost the same as the normal edition. Any increase would be as a result of miscommunication.

... When you pre-order DA2 you automatically upgrade to SE with $20 worth of free goods, which includes a new NPC DLC and an exclusive digital armory.

This is supported/verified by the BioWare staff posts over on the BSN. All pre-orders before 01/11/2011 are "automatically upgraded" to the Signature Edition.

Edit: There is a free belt known as Hindsight, only available though signing up to the DA2 newsletter again. Don't worry you won't get another and you'll get a free belt and shows up straight to your account under your registered game promotions.

That EA/DA2 Newsletter has a link to the "Penny Arcade Games" site where you can read Hindsight's backstory (cute artwork too!) and register for the in-game item. As BKE said, it then appears on your Dragon Age Entitlements page on the BSN. (Useless until release, but there it is! )

Which is all at the front page if you were wondering. Except the Hindsight blurb which I made another thread for it. Thank Thandal

I looked on the EA site and I've emailed Amazon, they are very shabby in not updating their information concerning the new release date which I already knew about, but basic info like the free code for DLC etc should be in the information on their site. Lets see what they have to say in their reply.

One thing I don't understand, why give codes for DLC why don't they just include it in the game or is it done like that because they believe people think they are really getting something for nothing?

Most are promostional items for marketing purposes. Like the digital armory, belt and the staff. The character DLC would most likely be like Shale, not as lost content but as a incentive to buy BioWare products that are not pre-owned. Same thing happened in Origins and ME2 too. Embri's Many Pockets, Amulet of the War Mage, Helm of the Deep, Mark of Vigilance are DLC that could only be obtained by completing Dragon Age Journeys. It's a marketing gimmick

I know I shouldn't really bump this thread but I just wanted to tell you that there is an update on it's way. It won't be as big as the last one but it has some interesting information about creatures, locations and character. See keep a look out

Will the specialty classes be the same as those in DA:O? I am assuming so just because ME2 continued what ME had with classes.

There are specialty classes but what they are unknown. We still have the simple classes; mage, warrior and rogue. I assume that they will reveal it later on

We do know that the distinction between Warrior and Rogue will be "more pronounced."
