I believe that a separate page should be made detailing the best mods that are known to work with little to no issues and that have been thoroughly discussed and tested by members to the page so people know which mods are safe and which ones are unstable or not well known. Browsing the downloadable files does not tell you much about the actual quality of the file, it only tells you how many people have downloaded it and whether they gave it the thumbs up and you can't rely on all of those thumbs up meaning that someone got it working 100%. I have downloaded mods from here that appeared to work at first and later down the line corrupted my whole save file out of nowhere and I actually endorsed those mods before knowing what was wrong with them. XRE Cars for instance appeared to work for me and I really thought to myself "Wow! What a great mod." but eventually that mod destroyed my save file.

The mod where you become the Mayor of Nipton has just now corrupted my game and I may actually have to reinstall FNV all over again.

All I am saying is there are files on here that appear to be great and send fireworks off in your head when you see them also you think because so many people have downloaded and endorsed it that it means it is working 100%.

I will make a list myself if I have to reinstall my FNV putting mods into a fresh install and will list the ones that cause severe crashing such as XRE Cars and Become Mayor of Nipton.

You can get the list you're requesting by using the filters on the game's Mods page.

 

Click the "Files" button at the top of the page, then either choose one of the built-in "Top Files" ones, or go about half-way down on the left side and you can tailor the search more narrowly.

 

Here are the pre-built filters:

 

Top lists
Most endorsed files in the last two weeks
Most endorsed recently added files
Most endorsed files of all-time
Most endorsed files of all-time (non-adult)
Most endorsed files of all-time (adult-only)
Top 25 in the past 2 weeks

 

The "Most endorsed files of all-time" will generate a fairly long list of highly "recommended" mods.
