There's this awesome mod called Detailed Tooltips by Bibdy which shows exactly how spell and talent effect are calculated by the game. Unfortunately, it also reveals all spell combos in the tooltips which I want to discover myself.

Would anyone be kind enough to edit the mod to take out the Spell Combo descriptions from the Spell tooltips? Someone else made this request on the mod page, but no response from the author (I just want this for personal use, but i'm sure others would appreciate it too if you can get Bibdy's permission).

Okay I figured out how to do this, but doing it myself will defeat the purpose since I will need to read the spell descriptions to delete the Spell Combo information. So.. I'm hoping some good samaritan will step up and help me out. Here's what to do:

• Download the Detailed Tooltips mod
• Download DOATLKEdit
• Open the core_en-us.tlk from the Detailed Tooltips mod
• On the top right hand side of the DOATLKEdit program, select "Game Data (G2DA) / Plots (PLTS)" from the drop down
• Browse to Core > 2da.erf > abi_base.gda
• Find the Spell entries (listed by the name of the spell)
• Edit the DescStrRef of each spell to remove the spell combo information from the tooltip
• Save!
