Does anyone know why even if i've correctly installed the "Blood Dragon Armor Dark Retexture" and also the "Duty Helmet Retexture for Blood Dragon Armor ", the elmet doesn't appear as if i didn't install the relative retexture?!

very difficult to know on such little information or lack of screenshots ;)
but the easiest way to tell would be to open up the folder documents/bioware/dragon age/addins
or
documents/bioware/dragon age/packages/core/override

and look inside those two folders for a folder that has the name of your mod. then check to see if it has the .dds files (should be 3 or 6. one set of 3 for medium resolution and one set of 3 for high resolution.).
another issue could be LOD (Level of Detail). Where if the author of the mod didnt include BOTH a medium AND a high level rez versions of the textures the items wont look right from certain distances, or angles.

The problem is that the file of the elmet is separate from the file of the armor, and it's just a file.ERF; i thought that the file .ERF should be putted in packages\core\data, and not in core\override, but the autor says to put it in override. The elmet i have in the game now is the normal one of the blood armor, just dark, and there's no way to make the other kind of elmet mod works!
P.S.sorry for the english,i'm italian ;)

So is the .erf file where the author said to put it or where you thought it should go?

Yes, I agree. Did you put the file where the maker of the mod say to put the file?

yeah, the autor said to put it in the override directory and so i did, but the mod doesn't work; i also tried to put the file in the data folder but nothing changed...

EDIT: anyway here there is the link for the mod: http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=459
Nothing changes even if i have or haven't the mod "Helm removal" installed (that was my first tentative to explain myself why the mod didn't work, but with no success)

SirAlex- Ok, I just noticed that the extra set of textures is for the Duty helmet. Which is part of the Effort Armor set. Do you have any mods installed that directly effect the Duty helm, or the Effort Armor? Thinking that since the game will only read one set of textures for an item of the same name, that you must have a conflict here.

Edit- And that INCLUDES the Awakening DLC if you have it installed. DAA (Awakening) also has tints and tones which affect those helmets.

I have Awakening installed (and of course no way to disinstall it), but no other mod that influence helmets texture; i had installed a mod that changed the effort amor to the ME version but of course i disinstalled it before installing the dark retexture for the armor!

well, while you cant Remove awakening, without actually uninstalling it, you Can deactivate it, as if it were any other DLC file, as far as I know. Now keep in mind that I dont HAVE Awakening anymore, I got rid of it.
And VERY sorry for leaving you hanging here. I've been trying to get caught up since its been so busy the last week or so :(

Don't worry, i was really busy too and i didn't see the topic since the last week; anyway thanks a lot for your tentative of helping me, even if nothing seems to work, neither deactivating Awakening. But don't worry anymore, i've decided that the new and wonderful helm can't really request so much time spent on trying to make it appears(i don't know if the sentence make sense in english, in italian it does  ); so the old and ugly helm recoloured with new colours is enough! Thanks again for the help!
