Treeshin
So I'm currently a Vampire Lord doing the Dawnguard quest line on the prophet quest, and i'm completely unable to feed. Skyrim so far on my save that has ~60 hours on it has been fairly bug free, except for Dawnguard. Right off when Harkon turned me into a vampire lord, nobody in Castle Volkihar recognized me as a vampire, and thought I was a mortal. I ended up using the console command "player.setrace nordracevampire" and then I could actually talk to people in Castle Volkihar, but I encountered the bug of not being able to feed. I now can't progress in the quest line because there is no feed option on the moth priest to make him my thrall on the Prophet quest :\ I had this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9717/? and when I pressed E on the moth priest,a feed option would pop up, but it would literally do nothingThen I uninstalled Better Vampires & switched to this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5863/? now I can't even press E on the moth priest  Has anyone else ran into this bug and managed to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated! Edited December 28, 2014 by Treeshin
Oubliette
1. Are you running the Dawnguard Unoficial Patch? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23491/? 2. Did you go through the troubleshooting page available for Better Vampires? https://sites.google.com/site/bettervampires/troubleshooting 3. Did you follow proper uninstallation instructions for Better Vampires before installing a new vampire overhaul? https://sites.google.com/site/bettervampires/install-upgrade-uninstall And just picture me in your head giving you a stern tsk tsk for risking a long standing character by installing untested overhaul mods in your load order and then uninstalling them again willy nilly. Yes, I have all four of the unofficial patches. 2. Yes, I tried all of the steps on the troubleshooting page, and the vampirism would apparently be cured, but I would still be able to turn into a vampire lord and have all of the vampire powers. 3. No, my saves probably screwed :ermm: Edited December 28, 2014 by Treeshin
Oubliette
Better than I expected. So now you either go to a previous save before either overhaul and see if you can feed or test with a clean new save to see if you can feed with no mods loaded except for the patches, DLCs and Live Another Life for it's fast track to vampirism and/or dawnguard. azayzel54
The main issue with Dawnguard (I know I'm responding to an old post, but..) is that it needs to be cleaned with TES5Edit twice. If you look up on how to clean a mod (using LOOT will reveal the dirty issues a mod might have, or in the case of Dawnguard after you clean it once it won't say that it's still dirty) you have to clean Dawnguard twice. It's one of the more buggy DLC's. Also, I suggest getting the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch if you have all 3 DLC's. If you have all 3 DLC's, getting the patch for each one isn't a good idea. And definitely consult notes or any additional information like Better Vampires has on its mod page. A lot of troubleshooting posted recommended instructions for problems such as the one you're having
