Walk into the grand hall of Cloud Ruler Temple, then look up.
As I recall, Baurus says that Captain Renault's katana will be put in a place of honor ... but I'm pretty sure that place does not actually exist in the game.
... D'oh!
Sorry, but most of the times I've been in the main hall of Cloud Ruler, it's to hand over something to Martin and listen to Jauffre gripe about Martin's latest unwise idea. Never thought to pan the camera up.

Not your fault. Took me more than a few trips to Cloud Ruler before I thought about just exactly where they kept honored katana from fallen Blades. Hell, I couldn't find the armory until my third or fourth trip there.

There is a very large array of Akaviri katana hanging from the rafters all around the center hall at Cloud Ruler Temple. Some sections of it are incomplete, with room to spare for the addition of new blades. Undoubtedly this is the "place of honor" where the swords of fallen warriors are hung in remembrance.

It's free, but you don't get to keep it after you leave the sewers. It's put there so that you can have a good weapon to get you through the first dungeon, if you think to pick it up. If your taste runs more to maces and axes, you'll find some of those along the way too.Ok....But anyway is that katana good do i have ti pay cold???

But what if you pick up the katana's and drop them before talking to Baurus? Or are they quest items? It's free, but you don't get to keep it after you leave the sewers. One thing that annoys me: wisp stalks. Oh, they're a fine staple for mage-hating assassins and the like, but there's a reason why they're called wisp stalks which makes them an absolute pain to harvest.

Same with gimme-gimme-gimme-bugritillbuyitinnastore-bloodgrass.
So I'm now the holy crusader, knight of the nine blah blah. The woodland graces me by not biting me in the ass every two seconds ('cept for mudcrabs!?) Very nice. But everything bites my horses ass every two seconds. Meh.
Fetching a book for the Mages Guild from Count Hassildor in Skingrad. I meet his necro assistant in the field at two in the morning, whip his butt and thrash his two buddies in short order. The Count arrives at a run claiming to have saved my life. My diary claims he saved my life. Someone is not in possession of all the facts because I most assuredly saved his vampiric behind, seems to me. And to prove it I whipped his behind too. Yep. Reload.

When i first got Oblivion, i remember thinking, "Yay horses!" However, my merriment was short lived when i realized that every time i had to fight, i had to dismount, which took way too long. Finally, after dismounting, my horse would either decide to run away or get killed. Now, i either always move on foot or run away whenever i get in trouble on horseback.
Another one is the borders and the messages that come up when you hit them, i remember the first time i hit the border, i was really screwed. i was following the coast north of Anvil, and i got up to the northern border, i couldn't move to the left any longer and there was a steep hill to my right that i couldn't get up, did i mention i was on horseback? i was making my way along, when i was attacked by a wolf. i dismounted, but my horse was between me and the wolf. i couldn't manage to get around the horse due to some rocks and trees, so the wolf killed my horse, and left me stranded.
The Call of Duty games have the slogan "No One Fights Alone." well, like COD, my companions in Oblivion, usually end up being the source of my problems. Usually my companions rush ahead and get killed or step infront of me as i'm attacking, giving me a bounty, BS!
i got into the DB the first time i played by accident. Either that, or if i'm using a bow, they never step out of my line of fire.
