I have a good mod idea for the author of this mod.

How about adding a character portrait system for oblivion. Like the ones used in other first person games such as:

- Might & Magic
- Lands of Lore
- The Elder Scrolls 1 and 2
- Wizards & Warriors PC

And other third person games such as:

- Baldur's Gate
- Icewind Dale
- Titan Quest
- Neverwinter Nights
- Dungeon Lords

And many more of those games that allow you to add a character portrait for your character.

Just think of the user made art and portrait mods you might get from users!

You could add it as a User Interface Overhaul!

You could add portraits for companions and can customize the portraits for those companions.

You could add a Party Roster System.

For all you people and users who don't know what a "Party" is in RPG talk, Here you go:
- A "Party" is a group of adventurers that the player controls by Commanding through the party leader (Which is what you will have to do anyways)

Example: A Party of Adventurers.

The Party Roster System is a set of UI Menus that shows who is following the player at that time. Instead of having to counting how many companions are following you and hoping you haven't reached the follower limit, this UI keeps track of it for you. Party rosters are usually in the form of books or scrolls. Once a companion has been added to the party, his portrait shows up on your hud. The number of portraits displayed is limited to the number of followers in the games Game-play settings. If too many portraits are on the screen at one time, all the portraits shrink and retract to the edges of the screen.

If the author likes this idea, doesn't like it, or has thoughts about it. PLEASE, let me know! too many of my ideas have been ignored, and I want to know what the community thinks and what can be improved on or changed.

I agree with maczopikczo.
This mod is a big addition; theNiceOne worked hard to give you this.
Do you expect all mods to be as simple as "drop in the Data folder and play"?

Many greatest mods are not simple. You must read the readme (always read the readme! ), follow the procedure step by step, configure it basing on your installation and preferences.
And some configurations (like this) are not simple. You must learn some basic Oblivion commands, if you want to configure this mod.
You can't ask theNiceOne to teach you this, after all the work he has done.

If you want to customize the mod, you must learn the Oblivion commands on your own, like everybody do. (Not all of them, just the ones you need).
But if you want to learn, you need to use your brain, like you say. Here's a good starting point: CS Elderscrolls Wiki.
We can help you with a particular command, if you have questions.

Just a quick question. When I use my bow, the arrow count is displayed in the middle of that blue bar and is cut off by the bottom of the screen. I have checked my resolution and it's not that. I'm using the orb overlay without the optional compass file, if that matters. I'm also using a few other mods such as Oblivion Character Overhaul. I'm not sure whether this is a common issue or something unique to my game. It's not really that bothersome, but if there's a way to fix it, I would like to know.

I did a manual install for the Diablo styled menus which works fine, but i can't seem to get the compass to work. I have the latest versions of morroblivion, all three unofficial patches, and oblivion script extender (v. 21) Would any of those be preventing the compass from working?
