This sounds awesome. Problem tho, when I run the scanner I get an access denied fault form the Dao_prc_ep1 (Bioware promo dagger). I am running Windows 7 and believe the new file security is shutting down the scanner. Hope you can fix this.
Maybe just bypass any access denied ones.

This is pure sweet awesomesauce if it does what it's supposed to, not that I doubt that it would.
Kudos!
EDIT: Works like a f***ing charm. Can't believe this wasn't done sooner
:D:D

Windows 7 is probly not the issue with it not reading the actual file. Bioware LOCKS some of the DLC files with encryption. The toolset cannot read them, and that leads me to believe that if this mod uses similar tools to read the files, this may not be able to either.
If windows is shutting down the program when it can't read read them, its probably an issue with UAC. Do a google search for windows 7 UAC and set the User Access Control to ignore this particular program. You might also try right clicking on it, and choosing "Run as Administrator" to see if that helps.
DL'd and gonna try it out later tonight. This sounds absolutely awesome. Sir A you are an ABSOLUTE GENIUS!! Our community is BLESSED to have you around!

I have updated the Item Scanner so that file access is no longer a problem. Now it should run even with the game or the toolset open, but you should still restart the game to see changes. Even so, in the case that some file cannot be opened, for any unknown reasons, it's just skipped and logged into "log_SkippedFiles.txt". Hope it helps.

I have given this file my endorsement.
Aye, perhaps make a second command not unlike the first GET/GETX where you just specify a number for each item that spawns. GET HEALTH 99 for instance? Would be a useful command, no less

It works like a charm for me too, but still having problem with the Leliana sacred ashes armor. The mod "sees" the armor in origins, but when i run "runscript getx" in awakening the pieces of armor doesn't appear in the item list.

ok i have a bit of trouble because when i scan the dragonage files the scanner says that 1894 bioware items are found and 3 user item BUT when i runscript get it only shows 1343 items
a lot of items aren't shown and it's kinda irritating any help would be apreciated
this file is awesome btw and i have given it my endorsement

@Much86: I have tested leliana sacred ashes and it adds perfectly in both origins and awakening. Can't figure out a reason you could have any problem with that. I've posted a screenshoot. Anyway, in the past I had written a script that does exactly that. Have a look if you want:

I thought about it while writing the code. Not difficult at all, but thinking the multiplier will apply to all returning objects, it gived me the creeps to think what could happen if someone would type GET 100. Multiply the GET time by 100. But, the good news is that I'm working on a set of additional scripts (in this visual style) for object management, like: REMOVE (already online as optional dld for this mod). I believe the next one will be REPLICATE.
@killerbeanthis
Read the readme or file description. The answer is there. Part are awakeninig objects out of scope in origins, part are un-instatiable objects by design as inventory items. Not a problem. You are not missing anything. The scanner does not analize objects at scan time to filter out those. The script does that at run time, by the most effecttive method off all: it instantiates EVERY scanner result, and if it's returning a valid object, it adds. If it's returning Nothing, nothing it's added
(geek joke) Andraste help me, I can't get clearer than this.
