No mods showing up in data files or TES5edit but are working (mostly) in game.

Hi all

I have an issue with my mods right now and I'm pretty confused. All of my mods seem to be showing in game, most of them work fine but a few don't. So I closed my game and went to fix them. That's when I discovered that none of my mods are showing up in the Skyrim launcher data files OR in TES5edit, so I can't clean any of them. The only plugins showing up are the unofficial patches.

I use Nexus Mod Manager (too lazy to switch over to MO) and all the plugins are activated, LOOT also works fine. This seems to have happened after updating NMM or maybe I'm just being a complete derp and have done something without realizing.

Hmmm... Well, I'm afraid the only advice I can offer is that TES5Edit reads the .esp's, so if they're working in-game but not showing up there, might it be that TES5 can't find the .esp's? Perhaps a Steam subscription vs. a Nexus installation of the complete files?

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, but I've not run into this issue before. :/

I think I've somewhat figured it out and you're right. Yesterday I had to reinstall steam by deleting everything but Steam.exe and steamapps folder. I just didn't notice that steam re-installed into program files (x86) and that's messed everything up, now I don't know how to fix it.

Aaaah, that would definitely do it and would make sense. Weeeeell, technically you could tell TES5Edit where to read the .esp's, and tell it where your new Skyrim/Data folder is. If NMM can be told to look elsewhere, I bet it can.

You can tell Tes5edit where the data folder is? Can you tell me how?
