Also a idea i think was already made but maybe the courrier is a sleeper agent of the TSC i got this idea from the movie Salt great movie by the way and also maybe you become a seraph right and then givin the command to find a place suitible for The TSC to set up a base and then givin the order to destableise the region so the TSC can take over.

I know the author is really busy. but i was just thinking if this is continued in new vegas, which i sincerely hope it does, then why have just one mothership. The TSC has the power to go anywhere on the planet, im sure it can construct mines and factories to aquire whatever resources necessary To create more ships(Hell, why not make a quest where you have to retake a factory for the BoS/Enclave). Obviously not as advanced as the alien one, but still its a starship.

TBH when completing Mothership Zeta (not the crew) I thought to myself, if i could do whatever i wanted i would make a whole fleet of ships. Because in all likelyhood, the aliens will be back. And we need an army.

Getting back to my main point, if there is more than one ship, then the couriour can rise to command one of those. Why not incorporate it into the main questline, Say the TSC wants hoover dam as well i would love to side with the TSC during the main quest. Im not a modder myself so i cannot even imagine the coding difficulties associated with doing that...

I think that the best way to involve the courier in the TSC is to start him out as a sort of mercenary intellignce gatherer. Then after he's earned the trust of the seraphs who are already in New Vegas then he gets to do more important missions. I don't like the idea of a complete stranger to the TSC just being given the command of a base, ship or an army. These small jobs could be gathering intelligence about the Mojave Outpost or the Helios One plant. Then as you earn trust you get to do bigger missions such as gathering intelligence about the casinos on the strip and stir up trouble so the TSC can take over the strip or infiltrating Camp McCarran.

A post a while ago suggested that during the Caeser's Legion attack on Nipton the majority of the Seraphs in New Vegas were killed and you are approched by the TSC who offer you a few small jobs before you earn their trust.

Rather than a completely new storyline involving the TSC I think that it would be a lot easier to propose an alliance with one of the factions and just have a few TSC soldiers at the battle for Hoover Dam.

Except the majority of Seraphs in the Mojave Wasteland being killed by the Legion while they were at nipton doesn't make a lot of sense.

Not my idea but I think it could work. Why doesn't it make a lot of sense?

First and most important: Because the Seraphs are the intelligence service of the TSC and the legion was at Nipton planning everything they did (they wanted the entire town of Nipton to betray eachother, then raid it to show the NCR they can act freely even that close to the NCR territory frontier), so if they didn't knew about their plan and they're supposed to be intelligence officers, I might be an astronaut from the future aswell.

Second but still worth mentioning: The Seraphs are also well trained, so even if they were utterly blind and deaf during they stay at Nipton, they (probably along with hidden thunderfist bodyguards) would have been able to kick some legion butts or at very least evacuate by air.

What's it like in space?

I understand your point but I think it would be hard to inflitrate the Legion and so how much intelligence could actually be gathered about their plans?

Plus, the Legion don't use firearms so they could have snook up on the Seraphs and I can't see there being Thunderfist bodyguards, that's like James Bond walking around with an armoured escort.

I sort of agree with you though about the Nipton idea and how the Seraphs on their own could kick Legion ass (Seraph in Moscow makes a perfect example). I still think the idea about working for the Seraphs is good though.

That's what intelligence does, they got agents for infiltration. Plus, there's not even need for that when the legion is at the town, planning something as big as getting every single inhabitant to betray eachother, I mean, is not THAT hard to find out they're up to something when you've got making a huge plan exactly at the same place as the Seraphs. And they would obviously have bodyguards specially if we are talking about highly important members of the TSC, they're intelligence officers and not special agents. Do you really think the TSC would have almost all of them and unprotected in the same place without even suspecting of legion activity in the area? And the fact the legion doesn't use firearms makes them way less deadly for highly trained in both firearms and close combat personnel such as the Seraphims and their bodyguards.

Why the heck would you put most of the Seraphs in Nipton anyways? That doesn't make sense either.

I suppose you have a point about how if most of the Seraphs were in the same place they may have bodyguards but I would say that individual Seraphs would probably not have bodyguards for 2 reasons

1. I would regard the Seraphs as Special Agents and not just intelligence officers

2. Bodyguards would mean a bigger 'footprint' which isn't good for subversive activities or infiltration.

However, I do acknowledge all your other points except the one about the Legion getting all the inhabitants to betray eachother. I only remember them doing that lottery thing and during the raid they would quickly round up all of Nipton's inhabitants. My point was that they would be quieter because they don't use firearms and they may catch the Seraphs by surprise.

Oh, sorry one more point. I would say that putting most of the Seraphs at Nipton would be a good idea because:

1. Lack of NCR attention
2. In a town like that people don't ask questions about others
3. Nobody in the town would probably even notice them because they are too busy stealing or raiding or whatever floats their boat.

That's why I said thunderfists, because they're stealthy (like hidden near the town awaiting for any signs of danger). Besides, most of the Seraphs of the Mojave at the same town means a lot of strangers too, wich would fail for infiltration aswell. I guess the whole thing of killing most of the Seraphs at Nipton is an excuse to cause a war, but frankly, there's far better options than a plot that doesn't even make sense, that or at least just put one or perhaps two Seraphs, not almost the ENTIRE unit. Besides, killing most of them would suck anyways.

And as I said before, the Seraphs are extremelly well trained, actually by the very Enclave so if some of the best intelligence officers in earth can't find out about such a huge and not exactly stealthy plot (by an organization with lame logistic capabilities due to almost middle age technology) we're pretty much wasting time with intelligence services.

Oh and the legion uses firearms more often than they admit, or else they wouldn't been able to do anything.
