@nickdb93 Well, I'm not blaming the Nexus, they are protecting themselves from legal issues so I understand it's a necessary evil.

That's a clever way to do it, but not all New Vegas players got FO3 and it's DLC's. I'm sure Nylon will come up with something.

Oh you were talking about if the NV user didn't own the FO3 content, but instead got it from the mod. That makes perfect sense. I though you were saying that it is illegal for a mod to have content/resources from a FO3 DLC that a user owns be used in NV. Now you understand why I thought that was so ridiculous.

Yeah I ment that. Most of us would play the NV version (the ones who own New Vegas) and we already own FO3, but some New Vegas players who doesn't own FO3 players who never heard of this mod could play the New Vegas version anyways. So, while most of us could use that way to use FO3 resources, some wouldn't.

the obvious answer creatde a central ESM to hold all the resources of the main mod and create two ESPs one for Fallout III + New Vegas and one for just New Vegas.

That might work. Key word being "might."

In response to the discussion that has aroused with using Zeta DLC resources included in the NV install package. It is legal to use these resources, but it should be clear to the moderators that these are not ported resources, but actually the resources included in the NV install package. It is in fact legal to use ANYTHING included in the install package of the game you are modding (in this case, Fallout New Vegas).

Also, even if the Zeta DLC resources are not included (walls, windows, etc) there are alternatives to the Olympus. Perhaps the Terran Starship Command has built their own ships? Or found a pre-war warship that was going to be launched? Or perhaps "acquired" a warship being built by the Enclave or some other paramilitary power?

Like the Pillar of Autumn from the "Halo" series?

Or the Argo from the "Star Blazers" Japanese anime series?

Or maybe even a "Star Wars" Imperial Star Destroyer?

Hell, we may use both of these ideas in the NV-MZC. We are by no means restrained in what we can do. We may even find a modeler who can make a close copy of the MZ DLC spaceship resources.

The pre-war vessel idea has possibilities. I might be able to provide some assistance with dialogue (the lines, not the actual scripting) and voice acting for this. But I don't think that it would be a warship, originally. The TSC should convert it into one.

As for the other ship ideas, the Pillar of Autumn would be the best fit in terms of general feel and technology level. The ISD would be far-and-away too advanced for pre-war earth science and engineering. That might be more suitable if it was a modern Enclave vessel or TSC construct.

What about all the other aliens? I cannot believe that no one has ever asked this before, or that I have not seen the answer.

In all, two ships and one base were destroyed or cleared. That is most definitely not an entire civilization. There is no way that the civilization behind the aliens would allow the destruction of two ships and a base go unanswered.

I suppose that the Aliens could not have FTL technology (since they have cryo-stasis tubes for crew members, that are likely used during long voyages), and that it would take thousands of years for a message to reach the home planet, if any message was even sent out at all. However, eventually there WILL be repercussions, unless the Aliens on Earth were like a separate sect of the Alien government or a rebel movement or something.
