In response to post #20383934.

If you install it manually,
the stuff inside directory "01 Core" goes to ../Oblivion/data/

If you use normal game UI,
the stuff inside directory "02 Vanilla" goes to ../Oblivion/data/

if you use some other UI then select one of the other "02 xxxx" directories.

Read the installation instructions in the readme. They include instructions for installing this manually.

Menu que is no longer to be found? I was really interested in this mod but it requires a mod called Menu Que. I Search the internet and nothing of this name was found.

First of all I would like to say that I am looking foward to trying this mod. I am so tired of managing my skill to get the most out of leveling. It is also quite cool to hear the little 'ding' and get some XP for doing the little things I do everyday. But I have noticed a small problem. The Sneak Eye Detection icon is now hidden under the compass. I am using DarNified_UI_132 so I checked the DarNified configuration page to see where the icon was located. It said 305,-18. I then uninstalled Oblivion XP and checked the DarNified configuration page once again. The location of the icon was still 305,-18. I then used the page to move the icon to the left where it read 10,-18. I then reinstalled Oblivion XP and used the DarNified configuration page to move the icon to the left once again. It read -190,-18. I then altered the DarNified confige file and changed the cooridnates to 95,-18 and it put the icon pretty close to where it use to be. Seems like something in the coordinate system has gone wrong with the Sneak Eye. All the other icons are fine.

I looked through all your files and the DarNified files to see if I could figure whats going on but with no luck. I am pretty sure I installed it correctly as BAIN makes it pretty easy.

That's odd. I've never heard of that one before. The file that's actually modified is hud_reticle.xml. Now if BAIN detects that something has modified the file, it won't replace it, so it's possible your in-game adjustments have meant that it's not being updated properly.

1. I recommend uninstalling Oblivion XP with BAIN.
2. Then uninstall DarN with BAIN.
3. Go to Data\\menus\\main and delete hud_reticle.xml if present.
4. Reinstall DarN with BAIN.
5. Reinstall Oblivion XP.

Hopefully that will fix it and you can continue playing.

When I installed Oblivion XP, I put it at the end of the BAIN package list so it would install all of its files overwriting whatever it needed. It made sense that Oblivion XP have precedence over DarN. Am I correct in this assumption?

I tried what you suggested and it didn't change anything, but it did lead me to what the problem seems to be. I didn't know that the information for the sneak icon was in the hud_recticle.xml file. I was looking in other files. So I looked in the hud_recticle.xml that Oblivion XP installed and found something that explains what is happening. In the hudreticle_sneak section there is a line that adds an offset in the X direction of 200. That is how much the icon was off on the screen. So I commented out the line and the sneak icon is back where it should be.

I looked deeper into the hud_recticle.xml file and that offset is the only thing different between the Oblivion XP and DarN versions of the file. So you might need to take a look at why the offset is there and if it is really needed. What I have done in the meantime is create a new BAIN package to install my altered hud_recticle.xml file.

I did read this in the DarN readme file "OblivionXP Levelling: Use the Stats Menu and LevelUp Menu included with OXP". So I don't know if maybe that is saying to use their hud_recticle.xml. or to install Oblivion XP first but as I stated earlier that doesn't seem right as the new Obilvion XP screens would get overwritten.

No, your installation order is correct - you have to install the UI first, then Ob XP.

Oh, hang on. In my game with Darnified, the sneak icon is at the bottom of the HUD. I thought that was the default for Darnified. I can't remember, is that an option with Darnified? To have the sneak icon at the bottom of the HUD instead of changing the cursor?

Yes in DarN the Sneak Icon is at the bottom. Without Oblvion XP the Sneak Icon is about a quarter of the way in from the left side of the screen and the Compass is centered. From what I know, this is the default locations with DarN. There are no options when installing DarN, but you can alter where things are in game, but they get reset when you restart the game. There are config files you can change to move things around permanently.

With Oblvion XP the Sneak Icon is just left of center under the Compass.

So the Sneak Icon being at the bottom of the screen is how it should be, but being behind the Compass is the issue. That is why I pointed out that in the hud_recticle.xml there is a setting offsetting the Icon by 200, which is the exact distance it is off by on my screen.

Here is the exact line added by Oblivion XP at line 332:
<add> 200 </add> <!-- Oblivion XP adjustment -->

When I remove that line everything is fine.

I do want to mention that I use an old CRT screen and run the game at 1280x1024. I know most of the world now have wide screens, so maybe those lines were added to fix any issues with widescreen resolutions.
