At first when I loaded my save game with Oblivion XP active it asked if I wanted to distribute right away but I pushed the decline button and I think this caused the game to not give me my skill points.
After filling my XP bar I removed this mod and restored my UI then reloaded my game, Save again, then reactivate the mod and select yes the next time I was asked to put points in my attributes. This now allows it to bring up the skill menu after clicking on "Level up".
The mod is working perfectly now.

Whats the .xml files that control the window that tells you you just got EXP and how much and what for. Because I use immersive interface and was wondering if i could get it working with that.

U can max out 1 attribute and 1 skill at the beginning.Ex:Int & Destruction.The game-play would suck (my opinion).

I tried starting a new game with everything but Oblivion XP, saved and exited to the desktop, activated Oblivion XP through OBMM, then reloaded the save, but it gives me the same error when loading.
I've tried deactivating Dark UI'd Darnified then reactivating it and reactivating Oblivion XP, but same error. I've tried pretty much everything I know short of uninstalling every single mod I have and reinstalling them from the ground up, but no dice. Any ideas?

U can max out 1 attribute and 1 skill at the beginning.Ex:Int & Destruction.The game-play would suck (my opinion).
Have a look at the Outstanding Bugs and Future Plans section on the Description tab
do you have to have that hud to have this mod? i kinda like the hud i have right now :L
Which UI are you running? Oblivion XP is compatible with Vanilla/BTmod, DarNified or DarkUId DarN. You can mess around with the xml a bit, but unless you know how to do that, you're stuck with this layout for now. As I mention in the Future Plans section in the Description tab, I will be making some changes to the UI in a future release.

I'm not sure what's going on. Whenever I try to start a new game, I get an Oblivion has stopped working error and it crashes. I then have to use Shift+Alt+Tab to select the window and click the 'Close Program' button.

Follow the installation instructions in the Oblvion XP Readme 4.1.7.pdf. You have install these mods using OBMM, not just activate them with OBMM. The readme explains how to do this.

I'll try it again, but... I'unno. I've tried quite a few times and no go.
