In response to post #9662423.

Update, I changed the target to read as follows:

"C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout New Vegas\fnv4gb.exe" -exe "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout New Vegas\FalloutNV.exe" -SteamAppID 22380

Still getting the same error though, also worth mentioning that I have everything set to run as administrator.

Well, it clearly thinks your FalloutNV.exe does not match the Steam install. Perhaps you should try invoking Steam's "Properties" / "Local Files" / "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" function if Steam is where you got it from, as suggested by the error message. The idea being that the most current (i.e. correct) .exe will then be installed.

If the game was not gotten from Steam ... then you might be out of luck. I suggest at least searching the other posts here for that error message to see if others had the problem and how things were resolved; click the orange text "View Forum Thread" link above and then perform the search.

It will not work on cracked copies, if you bought the game and used a crack to get rid of Steam they you have to put the original executable back, you know what the answer is if you didn't buy it.

Yes, it will still stop those crashes where NV hits 2GB or RAM usage.

Anywhere. For example, copy FNV4GB.EXE and FNV4GB_HELPER.DLL into the same directory where FalloutNV.EXE is located, or copy the entire FNV4GB folder into that game directory so it becomes a subdirectory.

Try it and see what happens. It won't break anything either way. Run the game by invoking FNV4GB.EXE. If it causes problems, then just delete FNV4GB.EXE and FNV4GB_HELPER.DLL.
