Could someone please tell me how to remove this error:

Original exe modified -> Executable headers failed to validate.

An unmodified original exe is required. You should get Steam to validate your game cache and download unmodified versions of any files.

And no I didn't buy FNV. Please ignore this if you can't help me with this problem.

In response to post #9776882.

Use 4GB Enabler for NVSE:
http://nvse.silverlock.org/beta/fnv4gb_nvse.zip

Just unpack and run exe.

Ok, having a problem I can't figure out. Every time I try to launch the 4GB exe it gives me an error message which says "vorbis_synthesis_idheader could not be found in livorbis.dll" and then another window says "access denied" I am running the steam version with an unmodified exe. Help please?

In response to post #9784071.

Is the game installed into the default Steam area under \SteamApps\common\, did you copy the FNV4GB files into the top level game directory, and did you try running as Admin to bypass access blocks?

Try the steps listed here.

No it's installed on a steam directory set up on an external solid state drive. Already tried the fix for that though, didn't work. Yes it is in the same folder as my FNV default exe. Also did try running as admin. No help there I am afraid. Tried those steps because it wasn't in the regular steam folder. No help there I am afraid.

"vorbis_synthesis_idheader could not be found in livorbis.dll"

That error message is not a Fallout New Vegas related error, per se. It appears to be Vorbis oriented: "Vorbis is a patent-clear, fully open, general purpose audio encoding format standard that rivals or even surpasses the 'upcoming' generation of proprietary codecs (AAC and TwinVQ, also known as VQF)."

Do you have Vorbis installed? Is it your special audio subsystem for gaming, or what? If there is no error when you launch FNV normally, then perhaps FNV4GB's way of launching the game is interfering in some manner. I know nothing about Vorbis, and that lvorbis.dll file appears no where on my system.

Perhaps it is an audio card / audio driver issue that occurs when the "Large Address Aware" flag is set for a 32-bit program.

Hmm. thanks anyway I guess. As far as I know my audio drivers shouldn't be interfering in any way though I will double check that.

It didn't worked, and still launches the launcher without launching nvse or launching the game directly.
Edit: Ok, apparently it worked, it seems that its somehow incompatible with the nividia d3d9.dll fix, it wont launch nvse if that is installed.
If its possible to use all the 3?

Well, perusing the "Nvidia d3d9 perf fix" mod description I see that the author says he/she doesn't use it any more since the v1.2 game patch, and there are multiple posts stating that it does not work with FNV4GB. So you're probably out of luck getting them to all work together. On the other hand perhaps you should just try running without the Nvidia fix to see how the game performs with FNV4GB.
