I edited a section of landscape, cut out an area for a bunker and placed it. All looks nice in geck but when i load it into NV theirs a ugly wall of pixlated landscape. Using Noclip i discovered this blareing wall of pixles is some kind of sub surface landscape below all the landscape. I cut out a hill so its the hills sub surface mesh or whatever that still remains. How do i remove/edit it to conform to my changes? I tried cell option for Hand Changed, but it dose nothing.

Picks below show what i mean.

How do i edit this subsurface mesh?

BTW: I can walk though the wall just fine, along with my companions on the walk mesh. Everything rendered properly behind it, and look out from behind the wall everything looks normal.

i am guessing this is the LOD landscape mesh. the way it works is that at a certain distance the LOD land mesh will be moved below the regular landscape, so it is still there, what you might have done is expose the LOD landscape by pushing into the hillside there. basically you have to generate new lod.

if that's true.... then that's rather impossible. the world LOD option only dose entire world spaces and this cell is in the largest one with over 1.3k cells... im not going to spend 2 weeks processing a new mesh for 1 single cell. Who knows how much data it will add to my mod by doing that anyway.

Is there a way to LOD a single cells mesh or Quads mesh? i cant find any details on wiki.

I have exactly the same problem, see my post here: Object Viewing Distance - LOD

In the GECK, I generated World LOD; it popped up saying that it could take around 10 hours, and I clicked proceed. From there it said skipping existing data, and was done in a couple of seconds. However, going back into the game showed that it had no effect what so ever :/
