Geck and mercenary pack

OK I just created my first Mod ever and one of the people that downloaded it have trouble with it they say I have to remove the association with my mercenary pack when I open the geck I see that the mercenary pack is always checked but when I unchecked it it always checks itself back and when I removed it from the data folder I couldn't load anything in the geck at all so could someone please tell me what I'm supposed to do I want the people that find my simple mod to be able to use it

since i can't find the mod (it's not in your profile) than you will have to describe what the mod is, and what you did for making it, so that i can try and help you
but without knowing what the mod is about, it's like shooting blind......

My mod was to add a silencer to the anti material rifle I added it in nifskope then went to the geck added the model to the static section then went to the weapon section went to anti aterial changed the name added my custom model changed some settings saved tested and it works in game but someone had a problems.

did you change the name, or also the ID???
because if you didn't change the ID, then you are modifying the same weapon, and not adding a new item, which is something you should never do, especially on such changes
for re-stats and all, it's ok, but if you have a problem with such changes than it could mess up your whole game (at least, as far as i know.....)

nope added a new id and everything I followed the tutorial exactly my question is about the mercenary pack why is it always checked in geck and how do I remove the association because it doesn't want to be friendly with someones game if someone could check it out (I posted a link above) and tall me what to do that would be great like if it doesn't let you do something in geck or is weird in game

Also in the parent masters box of the data folder in geck it has parent master as falloutnv and mercenary pack how do I get rid of the parent mercenary pack I guess is my real question

well, have you used any resources from that pack??
if so, then there is your problem
i think the best way is to remove that pack (don't delete it, just move the files out of the folder) and re-make the mod
if the files aren't there, they can't cause any problems, at least that's what i think

Ok so I decided to redo the mod and not have the mercenary pack int the data folder but whenever I try to add the rifle to doc mitchels house the effing geck always crashes it worked before and I'm doing exactly the same thing does anyone know why this is happening?

just for the sake of trial, try to add the item to another place in the town, like to the gas station, or another house
try to find what is actually causing the problem......

figured out a way to add it in world but now I cant equip it fallout crashes on me this is very confusing that one second it works the next it doesn't
