Just a quick question that I can't seem to find an answer for; If I create a new item in the GECK, how do I get it to use an existing model? Whenever I go to change the model it only shows files from installed mods, and it won't let me type a file path in the greyed-out area. Any help greatly appreciated.

Simple, You have To extract the Meshes of the objects (with a BSA unpacker).
All meshes are in Fallout - Meshes.bsa

It is a lot easier to find an item that already uses the model you want, and change the formID. It will ask you if you want to create a new form, say yes. Now you have a new item that is identical to the old, but now you can mess with it without affecting everything in the game.

No, Cause it's impossible to change the Type of the entity. (like making an activator out of a Static prop)

Yeah, that was exactly my problem. I used to just open existing entity and save as a new form. It was fine for items of the same type, but not anything else. Anyway, I'll have to grab a BSA unpacker. Thanks a bunch!
