Please help by contributing &/or teaching me how to create this.

Note that I am not a gamer nor am I a modder, so any information or encouragement you could give me is much appreciated!!

I would especially need help from 3D and landscape modelers and anyone willing to do dialogue.

Music would not be a priority. However, if someone wants to compose something, anything related to traditional Hawaiian/Filipino music would be a really cool bonus!

I know this is a big task, even if the overall scape of it is small. But I heard that one person put together Falskaar, and even more are re-creating III:Morrowind for Skyrim at amazing levels and pace! If they can do it, I'm sure I can at least try!!

Since Falskaar, I was inspired to think up my own world within Skyrim. And I thought including Hawaiian/Polynesian culture to Tamriel would be a very cool idea. When I finally bought Dragonborn this year, I almost had a taste of that adventure with the views of the sand, beach, and erupting Red Mountain!

World Idea: The Mele are a red/orange race of Dunmer. They are a sea-voyaging society based on Oceana, Filipino, and Mesoamerican classic cultures.

  • 30% Mesoamerican — architecture, agriculture, fashion, language
  • 40% Polynesian/Hawaiian — weapons (requires gold, shark teeth, and a new element called Hauram), setting, flora and fauna, language, names (modern)
  • 20% Filipino — folklore/religion, food, tattoos
  • 10% Micronesian — other tattoo meaning (the story of Wolfat's fancy)

In this mod's canon, the Mele live in settlements all across the Tamriel coasts and islands, though their homeland is the trio-islands of Meleo'ohu, located just beyond Red Mountain of Solstheim.

There will be no dialogue options added where Skyrim/Solstheim NPCs mention Meleo'ohu, but trading Mele items will be enabled... 10 septims ≤ X ≤ 200 septims

In the merchant town of Guao'o and the capital of Teno'olautl, there are a few people of other Tamriel races, mostly Dark Elves; either entrepreneurs or traveling to/from Raven Rock. Thalsa Farano is a female Dark Elf of King-Chief Tizoctlau's court, apparently an advisor from Raven Rock.

Setting: Meleo'ohu has three populated islands: Kanaloa, the main island; Mictlan, the island closest to Red Mountain; and Nanaue, the island of Blue Mountain (a dormant volcano), where mostly monsters inhabit misty jungles.

Kanaloa is half the size of Solstheim, with its climate being the same as the Felsaad Coast. Kanaloa has the heaviest population of Mele, with three towns (Pelequiti, Guao'o, Mayauri) and the capital city of Teno'olautl.

Pelequiti is located on the far northern side of the Kanaloa island. It is mainly a fishing town. For the main quest of this town, the Dragonborn will be asked to stop the Weresharks from killing the Mele villagers.

Guao'o is a merchant town on the Scalesalt Bay; this is where the Dragonborn arrives with Keahu, the NPC who starts the Meleo'ohu quest/mod. Shortly after the Dragonborn's arrival, a new type of dragon, the Sea Dragon, attacks the town.

Mayauri is a quiet town settled on the road between Guao'o and Teno'olautl. Mayauri has a small shrine dedicated to Wutlauhu. The priest praying at the shrine tells the Dragonborn two stories involving Wutlauhu and his tattoos...

  1. Wutlauhu was a warrior who decorated his body with the marks of the warpaint of his fallen enemies to honor their deaths in battle. This style of tattoo is called Warpaint tattoo.
  2. Wutlahu noticed that the women of his village were intimidated by his Warpaint Tattoo and so he turned them into more beautiful designs. This style is called the Attraction tattoo.

The priest of the shrine offers to mark the Dragonborn with a tattoo, and the Dragonborn can accept or decline. The Dragonborn can only have one style of tattoo at a time. (Probably would be attached to RaceMenu..)

Teno'olautl is the golden capital of the Mele civilizations. The Mele believe it was where they were created by Guugraktl, their god. There is a temple of Guugraktl across from the palace of Tizoctlau, the King-Chief, ultimate ruler of all the Mele settlements. In the temple, the high priest tells the Dragonborn the tale of Guugraktl and Asuakitl (which is shamelessly the same as Gugurang and Asuang).

Mictlan has four settlements, three of which have been abandoned because of the thick clouds of ash from Red Mountain. The only populated settlement, Mutiki, is a small and crowded seaside village where Mele complain about the ash and not having any room at the inn. If the Dragonborn wants to stay a night at the crowded inn, they will receive an apology from the innkeeper who tells them they have to sleep outside.

Nanaue has only two Mele settlements: Lia'luu and Noelanitl. The rest of the island is populated by Meletikwal (hagravens designed as aswang), Meletikbal (horsemen), and Weresharks. There are also Dwemer ruins that the Dragonborn must go through to get to Asuakitl.

Lia'luu is populated by cult followers of Asuakitl. The settlement is located in the rainforest below the Blue Mountain, adjacent to a Dwemer ruin where Asuakitl is hidden.

Located on the beach of Red-Shark Bay, Noelanitl is a town of warriors who hunt monsters. There are also priests in the town, from Teno'olautl, who are trying to purify the island with constant prayer to Guugraktl.

Main Quest: You would have to have Dragonborn purchased to play the mod.

A young Mele named Keahu stops the Dragonborn on the Raven Rock docks, remarking that they look like "the adventurer my people need!" The Dragonborn can either ask what's wrong or point out Keahu's alien appearance; either way, Keahu will tell the Dragonborn that he is a Mele from Meleo'ohu, which is threatened by a dark force. The Dragonborn must offer their help to go to Meleo'ohu, but there would be a "I am not ready yet. Wait for me" option, to which Keahu would still reply with gratitude.

Keahu and the Dragonborn would arrive at Kanaloa's town Guao'o, and Keahu will walk the Dragonborn to the house of Kamalo, the chief of Guao'o. But the chief does not feel sure about the Dragonborn's ability to defeat Asuakitl and so pushes the Dragonborn outside, with Keahu following and protesting. Once outside the house, a Water Dragon emerges from the Scalesalt Bay and attacks the town. When the Dragonborn absorbs the Dragon's soul, Kamalo is in awe and apologizes. Kamalo tells Keahu to take the Dragonborn to Teno'olautl.

[it is revealed that Keahu is Kamalo's son. Keahu is a follower and marriageable. If the Dragonborn gets the Attraction tattoos, Keahu will have flustered dialogue until the Dragonborn gets married. Because the Attraction tattoos are different from the Amulet of Mara, the Dragonborn can have a simultaneous marriage with a Skyrim NPC and a Meleo'ohu NPC.]

[The Dragonborn can only request Keahu to stop following them after they've spoken to the King-Chief, Tizoctlau.]

The road to Teno'olautl introduces new monsters and ingredients to the Dragonborn. It's a short while until the Dragonborn and Keahu make it to Mayauri. There, Asuakitl cultists attack and kill Guugraktl preachers and one Wutlauhu priest. The surviving Wutlauhu priest tells Keahu and the Dragonborn that the cultists have attacked before but have never killed, and he suggests (about the Dragonborn) that the cultists feel a presence that threatens their "false god."

The Dragonborn and Keahu make it to the throne room of the King-Chief, Tizoctlau. Tizoctlau gives the Dragonborn exclusive access to his own armory, where the Dragonborn can select all or one of the weapons and ammo (based mainly on traditional Hawaiian weapons). Then Tizoctlau gives the Dragonborn a map of the Meleo'ohu islands, marked with each town. He also gives the Dragonborn access to his own boat. The high priest of Guugraktl, Nalailu, is also with Tizoctlau, and he gives the Dragonborn an amulet of the Red Mountain god for protection (adds +30 overall wellness).

First, the Dragonborn must go to Mictlan and search for a clue to Asuakitl and bring it back to Tizoctlau and Nalailu. The blinding ash-clouds and Ash Spawn make this task somewhat challenging.

When the Dragonborn returns to Teno'olautl, Tizoctlau is dead and the high cultist of Asuakitl, Puaktlu, has usurped him. The high priest Nalailu is hiding with other surviving members of the court and Guugraktl followers in the temple. Nalailu sees the artifact the Dragonborn has brought and tells them to quickly go to Noelanitl.

In Noelanitl, the monster-hunters heavily guard the Guugraktl priests and don't let the Dragonborn pass their boarder until they bring back the head of a Meletikbal (horseman). The Meletikbal hide among Mele ruins at the top of Blue Mountain, and are tall, powerful beasts like Giants and Lurkers. Only when the Dragonborn acquires the severed horse-head of a Meletikbal can they speak to the Guugraktl priests. The priests tell them that Asuakitl is inside Blue Mountain, but the only way to get there is to activate two levers at the end of both Dwemer ruins.

After activating the two Dwemer levers, a Dwemer elevator-system will erect from the top of Blue Mountain, and the Dragonborn must go inside and descend into the core of the volcano.

Inside the volcano is cool and dark. Three dragon-word-wall-things are carved into the volcano and the Dragonborn learns Sea Breath, a powerful blow of wind Shout which can be used outside of Meleo'ohu.

Asuakitl appears after the Dragonborn learns Sea Breath, and he activates the Blue Mountain volcano. (The top of the volcano blows off with the pressure and lands on the cultist village of Lia'luu.) The Dragonborn must kill Asuakitl before he burns all of Meleo'ohu. If and when the Dragonborn prevails, the god Guugraktl will appear and thank the Dragonborn for saving the islands. Then Guugraktl will give the Dragonborn his weapon (shown below).
