I did one time, and found naught but a few daedris maces, which are worthless, for some unknown reasons, not only htat, my wimpy drow was too weak to carry much, he just left it there.

well, i recently found out that you have to have a high strength, and Blunt, for the blunt weapons to do damage.
I hav 134 strength (fortified) with 100 blunt, and my Daedric warhammer does 30 damage.

Haha, I'm an assassin character, who uses shortblades! I only take things if they are worth taking. Those mases are worth nothing!

I tend to do gates only because they really ruin the decor of the enviroment (nothing ruins a day worst then a bunch of Deadra out while hunting)

...I just found out that the oblivion plane with the two entrances (best plane i've seen so far btw) also has two main towers. I don't know how this will work when you close the one entrance. The tower you went in the first time should look different then... No sigil stone in it anymore. I haven't finished the plane, so i'll do that now.

I just encountered the phenomenom. I entered an Oblvion Gate near Fisherman's Rock, found the second Gate inside the Plane, and emerged out of a Gate located north of Fort Blueblood (in other words, East-Southeast of Leyawiin— coincidence?). I re-entered the same Plane, blew the tower, and walked back to the Fisherman's Rock gate. It was still open, and upon re-entry I found myself in a new plane of Oblivion.

Hmm... so now I have a reason to close that gate! I have to see this!

I agree I enjoy running about shooting deer, then constantly getting interupted by Daedra, I hate those planes and the daedra aswell. Straight to the sigil stone, the planes are too boring.

Those of you with the game guide can explore with a good idea of what is worth it. A couple of planes do have interesting features, as mentioned earlier in this thread. However without some kind of hints they are hard to find. The boredom I think comes from there being only seven types of plane but with 99 gates. This means you see each repeatedly even if you give up after say 28 gates. I have done 62 maximum so far. They become too easy after a while whatever the level. But for those of you who have never explored any of them I recommend you try at least the one with the multiple natural disaster towers. But get to the most inaccessible places to find the fun areas.

Oh, and I remember [insert user name here] saying that s/he found his/her's body inside an Oblivion gate. If someone has run across this, can you tell me about what the plane looks like after you enter the plane of Oblivion from the gate?

Are you speaking about the Summon Doppleganger mod cryo, because that happened and that was really weird to me...had all my artifacts, 60k+ in gold and all the other poo I was carrying....plus she was WEARING two cuirasses!

I want to see a mod that adds new realms of Oblivion for Dagon...

If you explore them just a small bit, you can get some good loot and cut off time.

In one gate there was a cave you had to go through to get to the tower, but I found a little break in the lava moat that I could walk across just behind the entrance.

Once inside, I explored the bottom floor, and found a mithril cuirass, which I enchanted with my shield sigil stone later. Hooray for evil fiery gateways to hell!!!!!
