COD Adv Warfare multiplayer not working most the time

About 75% of the time when I try logging into Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare multiplayer, I get an error message that says "service is not available at this time, try again later."

This might be a technical problem on my end, because obviously their master servers wouldn't be down that often.

But it's great multiplayer, when it actually works.

Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem?

Can be caused by a number of reasons.

First off you should make sure that you have a decent internet connection and are not trying to connect during peak times. You can still eventually connect during peak times, but should not try and troubleshoot when servers are likely to be getting a large number of login requests.

Second, make sure that you are trying to connect with a valid, official, non-modded version of the game. You should try re-validating game files through Steam before doing anything else as it will revert game files back to their default state. If you're applying anything like enb presets or other "visual enhancements" you should wait until after you have verified that the game is loading connecting properly. Although this is a mod site, some companies, particularly those involved with competitive online games have a very strict no-mod policy.

Third, if the game makes use of any 3rd party software such as Punkbuster, you should try to make sure that these are up to date. Occasionally these files will not update automatically with some games requiring you to do so manually. You can usually tell what is being used by browsing to the game directory and looking for any folders that seem unusual.

Forth, if you are using any software firewall or other p2p blocking utility, try disabling it temporarily when trying to connect. If you connect with a firewall disabled, but get prevented when the firewall is active, chances are that you need to create an exception for the game. For this you may need to refer to google to see about how to create an exception for either the application or a port. If using a p2p blocking utility, you may need to change it to allow connections to the servers used by that game.

If none of these work, you may just have to contact the game's support center to have them troubleshoot your specific problem.
