Hey guys,

I just got a Gold Account for Xbox360 and I'd like to know what people usually play when they're playing online.

The online games I have are Call of Duty 4, Halo 3 and Colin Mcrae: Dirt. I don't really like Call of Duty, and Halo 3 is ok, but it has some really annyoing features and other stuff that I don't like.

So, I'd like to get some recommendations. I was thinking about getting Borderlands GOTY or Halo: Reach for Christmas, but if Reach is just like Halo 3, I probably won't get it.

I'm open to all suggestions, but no Call of Duty please.

Borderlands is great, the weapon moding adds a lot of playtime. I'd definitely recommend it assuming you have people to play with because outside of co-op it can get boring.
Gears, Halo, Call of Duty.... just more redundant, generic FPSs. Battlefield BC2 is good, Team Fortress 2 on PC is a LOT of fun and the requirements are pretty low.

What are you looking for? Are you looking for some competitive multiplayer, some co-op perhaps?

Halo Reach is quite fun. The old ranking system is gone, and people aren't getting judged all the time based on it. Big team battles in Halo are a blast, though a bit crazy when your team decides to quit on you or be uncooperative. I do my part, but I never feel like I HAVE to do good otherwise everyone's going to hate me. With the psychological part out of the way, I tend to do better. :) Otherwise I just play team snipers all the time.

Borderlands is an amazing co-op experience. If you have some friends who are interested, you are in for a joyride. A very long one, depending on the DLC and what you want to accomplish. You will not regret it.

The music genre is there, but I feel it is dying. Always puts on a good show at a party though.

I personally like to Blazblue Continuum Shift though I hardly consider it a friendly game for newcomers. And some Smash Bros. when I have friends around (no 360 for that. :P)

I have Borderlands for PC, but no DLC. Now that I have a gold account, I might as well buy the GOTY edition for the 360. I also like shooters more on 360.

I just have to choose between Borderlands and Halo Reach. I don't have friends to play Borderlands with, and I have played the main game through already. So that's a minus for Borderlands... Borderlands has a better co-op, though.

I guess I'll go with Halo Reach. It's a completely new game for me and it also might last longer than Borderlands because of the competitive multiplayer.

Thanks.

it seems like you want a shooter otherwise i would have said ufc, soulcalibur iv or even ultimate mortal kombat .

If you don't like halo3, why buy halo reach then you can expect more of the same.

I liked lord of the rings conquest multiplayer (but that's not shooting only)
Aliens vs predator single player sucks but multiplayer rocks.
bioshock two is out and has multiplayer 8.5 on gamespot.
gears of war2 has 9 on gamespot.
the new medal of honor but i guess if you don't like call of duty...

If you like battlefield, i do but i wouldn't buy it.(just the demo lol)

Even more stuff to chose from if you check the gamereviewsites like ign and gamespot

I don't like halo3, don't know why. Split screen one on one can be fun but online doensn't cut it for me.

Soul Caliber IV is good, but I find it rather redundant after a while.

Left for Dead and Left for Dead 2 are ridiculously fun games in co-op mode.

And like four other peoples have stated: BORDERLANDS!!! (<-- Darkwarrior's favorite FPS)
