I have noticed that most of the images in the Adult galleries are not adult (at least not in my opinion). Zero nudity, very little blood or gore. Honestly I'm not sure why many of the images were even flagged as adult unless the person posting just thought it would help them get in a top 10 listing or something.
I was just wondering if the rules have changed. I agree most adult images were (again, in my opinion) junk, but some were very tasteful and beautiful images. These (along with the junk) are all gone. I searched the adult images Friday for each game and did not find a single adult image (no nudity whatsoever). Just girls in underwear or swimsuits.
So have the rules changed? Is there a no nudity at all restriction now? More curious than anything else. I didn't ever post there but I did like the occasional artistic image.
Thanks.

Just because the adult imageshare is the only place that members can post adult or mature natured images, it does not restrict it to that particular theme alone. Some may wish to post images that would be perfectly fine in the standard imageshare there expecting that perhaps they would gain more appreciation from the users that frequent that section of the site.
Only my own speculation on the subject of course. The image takers could have various reasons known only to themselves (at least until someone asks them directly).

I was thinking along the same lines myself, you just said it a whole lot better.
It does kinda defeat the purpose of the section though if a lot of image that are obviously not adult (and there are many now) get posted there.

Nudity of any kind is not allowed in the general image share due to excessive abuses of the previous rules and disregard for all content indicators. Users saw the existence of an "adult" section of the image share as a reason to post images of a strictly pornographic nature, rather than using the flag as it was intended. The presence of all these images also lead to daily trolling and numerous other issues, so required additional steps.
As it stands, the "adult" flag of the image share section is used to flag any images which, while not showing nudity, contain content which is either offensive, or which would not be appropriate for minors/places of business. In relation to more current vernacular, "adult" is meaning the same as NSFW (Not Safe For Work).
Images containing this sort of content is still allowed, but only within the supporter's image share, which is only accessible by those who are premium members or who have made a nominal donation to the site. The purpose of this serving both as a "sorta" means of age verification, and as an incentive for people to behave.

Those rules are close to the most confusing thing I've ever read. But let's see if I can recap.
No nudity at all or even a slight showing of, period on normal or adult gallery.
Some gore and nips poking in cloths if the adult filter is used.
No rules at all if you are a premium member (I assume there is some special gallery only they can view).
So when uploading something I would chose either no filter, or adult if there is gore or nip poking, or premium if there's full nudity.

nips poking in cloths
No, no nips, no buttucks, no pubic hair.

No nips poking I meant that you can not see any nipple at all, but there is a bump in the clothing where a nip would be. Kinda hard to describe that exactly I guess.
Thanks for the replies by the way. Maybe I'm not the only one who has been a little confused.

Another dumb question for the day.
What's a GBP and how do I give you some? (note dumb American here).

Great British Pound, and you use Paypal.
Note: there are rules for the supporter share, but these are limited to legal acceptability and general site rules, i.e. no paedophilia (that's loli and shota, in current terminology), bestiality (this does include tentacle porn), stealing other people's art, etc.
So you are allowed to post nudity and sex in the supporter share, as well as any other game screenshots or fan art.

I have an image I'd love to share but I think it's too risqué (due to the nightwear being translucent) for the normal image share and given how little action the Fallout 3 supporter image share sees, not many people would ever see it. >.>
