I've done some modding before but never anything to a great extent, I've gone into the game many times and gotten to a point of infinite load screens or crashing etc..

 

Well I'm back and trying again, I've got a beast of a machine and I'm looking for a suggestion of stable mods.

 

I want the game to be lore friendly but short of that I'm cool with anything, was wondering if anybody had an idea where I could find a list of stable mods to overhaul the entire game, textures, AI, armor, spells, meshes and lighting.

 

For reference my pc specs.:

 

Intell i7-5820k 3.3 Ghz

16GB GDDR4 ram (2600mhz)

128 GB SSD

EVGA gtz 980(no oc'ing done)

 

I think that about covers what you might need. Maybe my requests a bit unfair but I'm finding myself at a loss on how to achieve the best game possible while keeping it stable.

Infinite loading screens and crashes are often caused by dirty edits, bad load order, missing master files, running out of memory. First get MO, SKSE, SkyUI and install enb preset (set enblocal.ini memory parameters). Check if the game runs ok (Skyrim Performance Monitor). Then clean your masterfiles with TES5Edit and plug LOOT into MO. Don't forget to install USKP.

 

The lightning/weather mod you choose needs to be compatible with your enb preset or you get some strange colors.

 

A good place to start with visual Overhaul is Tamriel Reloaded HD. You can later add other mods to replace meshes or textures, like Vivid Landscapes. Don't forget to try it out with enbseries 0.265+ and FixParallaxTerrain=true in enblocal.ini under [Fix].

You should just start with couple basic mods and then as you progress upgrade your mod list.

 

Required:

SKSE - Most gameplay mods depend on skse and won't run without it. http://skse.silverlock.org/

Mod Organizer - Alternative for Nexus Mod Manager. Recommended for all players.

LOOT - Tool for sorting mod load order.

TES5Edit - Tool for cleaning dirty edits/etc.

SkyUI - Ingame menu that supports mods.
