Yeah, I have a similar glitch as sonicthehuman - I ran into a radstorm and the effects of it persisted as I travelled (I fast travelled elsewhere and I still had +5 rad/s). Is there any way to bypass this? It's pretty annoying, though it's my fault I haven't got any other recent saves.

I've experienced an odd bug with NevadaSkies 0.6.1 & the URWL patch installed.
I was in a sandstorm without rads, and decided to go afk for a drink. I returned 2-3 min later to find the sandstorm had stopped, yet it appeared I was being "hit" every second or so, and the game is amazingly lagged (-5fps from 60). Not actually taking damage, but the armor/shield icon is up and the screen jars as if being hit.
settings: weather types disabled, a few mood cycles added, sandstorm length set to short, frequency on medium, rain on medium.
other mods installed: NVSE, DarnifiedUI, More Perks, Conelrad Radio, Radio New Vegas Extended, Sprint Mod, noautoaim, with nevadaskies & nskies-URWLNV loading last
if it'd help Ive got a fresh savegame suffering from this I could provide

Yeah im having the same problem. At sporadic but very rare occurances, i will randomly start getting hurt, without getting any damage. I disabled the radstorms when i installed this mod via the cheat menu (thank you for that btw) But i am still suffering the side effects as described by people below. (Screen blur, getting hurt w/o damage. etc..) I play with the cheat terminal mod http://www.newvegasn...le.php?id=35358 which includes a real time 60:1 timescale.. Dont know if that matters at all but idk. But sandstorms, rain/thunder/lightening all seem to word great with the cheat terminal mod.

I just experienced the same bug as the two users below. Never experienced it before upgrading to the 6-1 version. I was in a sandstorm, and fast-travelled out of it. The storm stopped on the other end, but I was getting the same effects described below. Had to quit the game because of the lag and then crashed on exit.
Now wondering if I should revert to the 6-0 version.

Update: this is a nasty bug. I tried force-stopping the sandstorm as well as waiting the storm out, to no avail. When the storm ends, that nasty damage-that isn't-damage effect starts and there seems to be no stopping it. Makes the game unplayable after that. Hopefully Yossarion finds a fix soon, or I'll probably roll back to 6-0 and see if that helps.

Beautiful mod, but I'm afraid I'm having a similar issue. Sandstorm works just fine, but when it ends, instead of transitioning into whatever weather is going to come next, instead there's that weird damage effect thing, and rain keeps starting and stopping. The lag is absolutely unplayable, and half the time I have to quit out of the game. Any save made during this will refuse to load too.
Unfortunately this happens after every single sandstorm, whether natural or force started (note that the normal rain storms are just fine, and I'm not getting any lag from those at all). It's the one problem I'm having with this mod, so for now I've got sandstorms disabled, but that's a real shame.

okay so when I go into the game I look up and the sky looks fine. I go inside a building then come back out and the sky looks all weird. This is only at day time. At night time the sky is fine.
When you say install validate archive bsa properly do you just mean ticking it in the FOMM because I have done that. I don't have any other mods that interfere.

@kartikeya, what you described is exactly what happened to me. Every detail.
@Yossarian, a lot of us are having this same issue after the last update. Please look into this when you can.

I had the exact same thing happen kartikeya described.
The sandstorm ended. The FPS dropped beyond playable. Rain was starting and stopping alternately. Me and my companions also got the "damage" effects.
This bug even carried over when I quick loaded to a save while the strom was still going. in the end I had to go back a couple of saves to a point before the sandstorm started to get rid of the FPS drop and damage effect.
I also noticed that beginning with version 06 and on to 061 I get a lot of crashes to desktop lately. This did not happen with any of the pervious mod versions before and I have not changed anything or added new mods to New Vegas. Perhaps there is some memory overflow going on that causes the FPS drop and crashes? Perhaps a script that runs in a loop causing overflow?
Don't know.
All I know is that I did not have crashes with v05 of older.

I've had a few weird glitches lately that seem to be related to running Nevada Skies. I'm am using the Version 0.6.1 ESP file that was posted on November 26th. I am not using a compatibility patch. I am not using any mods that adjust timescale.
When the issue occurs, my screen blurs very briefly at regular intervals of 1 to 2 seconds. I've heard others describe this as a "0 damage attack that followers suffer when a storm begins" getting repeated unintentionally. This chronic split-second visual blurring seems to start at times when the weather transitions out of a rain/sand storm. One time I heard ED-E making an audio chirp each time the blurring occurred, which sounded like R2-D2 had a case of the hiccups. Once the issue begins, it seems that it sticks with any save made after that point, even if I shut the game down and reload that save. The only resolution I've found is to deactivate your mod in FOMM's package manager, load the game with out it, save the game, and then reactivate the mod in FOMM. The issue did first occur after I'd installed the Centered 3rd Person camera mod, but I'm not certain that mod is at fault since I can remedy the error by deactivating/reactivating Nevada Skies.
Also, I have noticed an issue with muffled weather sounds that can be heard in indoor areas. Sometimes there's a sandstorm outside, but I hear rainstorm after I have gone indoors. Sometimes it's raining outside but it sounds like a sandstorm after I go indoors.
