I have the same "large texture floating in the sky" after I walk out of a building in the middle of the day as well.
I have fellout and NVSWE at the same time (along with the compatibility .esp), could that be part of the issue?

Thought I had everything working and now my perception is permanently stuck at 1 (-) due to some sandstorm-related bug. There is no sandstorm effect listed on the status screen, yet my perception is still reduced. Anyone know of a fix, using the console maybe?

hey deckel, I will think about a solution for that. Maybe some kind of Stat-Restore ESP. Arg, if I would have known the trouble about all this god damn effects, I would have never implended them.
But you sure it's from update 6.2? maybe you had it before, but just didn't recognized it.

@yossarian, not sure, but it's possible it happened around the time I had that phantom damage issue. Going back through my saves, it seems that it might have been around then. So it's maybe not a 6.2 problem. I'll greatly appreciate it if you come up with a fix.....it's frustrating to have my stat stuck at 1 with no apparent way to fix.
I hear what you're saying about the effects, they do seem very bug-prone. And why did just my perception stat get stuck but not the others that are reduced by sandstorms? Makes no sense.

Well i can only speak for me, but i never got never a problem, im always lucky to not run into many bugs xD
Anyway Yoss, maybe you can contact skingrad24, author of "Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow", if hes still around in the nexus, i think there was a similar problem with his radioactive rain plugin, i know it was rain, but as far as i know it worked quite similar. Dont know anymore what exactly the problem was, but i think at the beginning there was a stat bug, too which got fixed.
I may be wrong but its worth a try

Well, I figured out how to raise my perception stat back up with the console, the problem is I can't get rid of that pesky (-) symbol next to it. Makes me worry that there is still some remnant of a bugged script hanging around that may cause problems in the future. So now I'm debating losing 10 hours of gameplay to go back to the last save I have before the sandstorm bug got me. Oh decisions, decisions.

I'm not sure if it this issue is due to Nevada Skies or not, but is the effect around Camp Searchlight supposed to be a green fog? It's really cool, but I'm trying to build my Real Time Settler town there and would prefer regular weather.
If it is NS and it's easy to patch, that would be awesome, but if not, no worries. I'll find somewhere else to build because no way am I disabling NS (maybe a nice winter wonderland outside Jacobstown instead). Your mod rocks. TIA for any help.

Yes the green sky is supposed to show up at Searchlight, it replaces the green sky effect of the vanilla version but tries to keep the mood of the radiated area vanilla sets.

Garbaron - Thanks for the info. I didn't remember there being a green haze around the airport in vanilla but after going back at various times with NS enabled the effect isn't as strong as I originally experienced so it will still work for city building in RTS.
