Geck crashed and took a huge ESP mod file I've been working on for over a week with it. The file vanished, and a full computer scan only found a shortcut to the file that no longer exists anywhere.

Havok sim doesn't work.

Geck has to be closed using task manager.

I resorted to closing via Task Manager ages ago, MUCH quicker

Well... Here is a tip:
ALWAYS Make backups upon major changes... this is the very basic rule when creating BIG mods.

I had to use task manager to close ther F3 geck to, but this is actually worse because the one time I closed this geck normally, my computer crashed.

Also, when I add lights in-geck, they don't show up in game. So there's something else that's broken...

This new geck is way more buggy than Fo3's
I'm presuming they're already working on a patch
So for now you're going to have to make do.

I have interior render issues so I'm doomed for my big project and stuck to making resources for it and possible small scale interiors.

But yeah.
Back up your saves and close the geck via task manager.
It saves a lot of grief =]

This game is probably the worst I've ever dealt with.

Vegas crashed my xbox and took my gamer profile with it. And that's not supposed to even be possible...

Did you look in the Backup folder in your Data folder to see if there was a copy of your esp there? The GECK makes copies and puts them there. Or at least it is supposed to. And, ya, this game is bugtastic. I haven't had too many problems with the NVGeck, but the game...ya.

You can fix the lights by pressing F5 each time you need to check your lighting. Bit awkward but you soon forget its an inconvenience

What about the Havoc sim? I thought maybe it was just me that was having trouble getting the Run Havoc button to work. Any workarounds?

It's a little bit better than the Morrowind CS at the moment, but I do hope they patch it soon.
