Avelyn spins to see Elbras open the door, clutching his staff ready to fight.

Tiemmo has his sword in his hand and edges into the doorway warily.

Aeden nocks an arrow and nods her readiness to Elbras.

To Ald Velothi Party:

The door swings open, the scrape of rock on rock echoing loud in the room behind it. In the dim light, you can see a massive cave on the other side. The room is dominated by three open sided towers, with platfroms at about the level of the door. The supports disappear up into the darkness, and down out of sight behind the edge of the floor. A narrow stone stariway curves down to the left, but you can not see its end.

On the platform across from the doorway, you see what looks like people moving around in the shadows. Someone yells something in an unfamiliar language, and two arrows bounce off the stone wall beside you. From somewhere nearby, you hear the sound of people running in armor. One source seems to be coming from below you, and another from the right.

Avelyn yells to the group.

"We can fight them easier when they try to get through the door than if we charged them." He says, pressing himself against the wall to try and lessen how much of a target he is.

[Peregrine]

To Avelyn:

As you duck back through the doorway, four more arrows fly through the space you had occupied a moment before. But unlike the previous pair, these cary magical flames. As they strike the wall nearby, they explode in a ball of fire. But fortunately for you, none of them hit close enough to injure you, and your only damage is a few burn marks on your clothes.

[Malchik]

Kyrykki nudges Elbras. "Stuck here, their arrows have advantages over our swords. Maybe we should get back to the main chamber and use the tactics that worked before. But we need to be QUICK!"

[Switch]

"Yes... everyone, I think it would be a good idea to fall back! The enemy has a clear advantage here."

With that, Elbras heads back through the door.

"Let's see if we can lure a few in here..."

Avelyn starts heading back to the main chamber, with everyone else.
