Corithalion, hearing the conversation of the front ranks, backs away to give them room to maneuver as they will. "We need an outlined plan of the area." He says quietly. "Someone try to remember everything you can about the area - are there any other doors that any of you can see?"
He then settles back, and tries to see if there is anything he has that can help the front ranks against the exploding arrows.

To Ald Velothi Party:
As you turn to run, four more fire arrows fly through the door and past you. But these have a much more impressive result than the earlier ones. One of them hits a slightly darker patch of rock on the floor, and a massive fire wall explodes upward to fill the whole tunnel. The flames show no sign of dissipating, but they do not expand either.

"Anyone here got a drink? I could really use one at this moment" Avelyn says to the group while ripping of a part of his robes.

"WHOA!!"
Elbras jumps back out of the tunnel.
"Er... this doesn't seem like normal fire to me... is everyone ok?"
He looks to the rest of the group.

To Elbras:
None of your party members seem to be harmed in any way. A few burn marks on their outer clothes are the only sign of the latest attacks.
To Corithalion:
You see no way to help your party against the arrows, except for either sacrificing yourself as a human shield, or killing the archers. The flame wall is too close to you to allow any escape around it... the only exit from the trap is through the door in front of you.
To Ald Velothi Party:
Four more fire-tipped arrows fly through the door and strike the rock nearby. All explode in the now familiar fireballs, but the massive wall of flame is not copied. By now it is obvious that the fire wall was a preset trap that the arrows triggered.
On the other side of the door, the sounds of movement have grown louder. Four more arrows follow, and these hit closer than any of the previous ones, as if the archers inside are finally correcting their aim. This time, the fireballs explode dangerously close to you. Though none of you are injured, more burn marks cover your outer clothes, and you feel enough heat from the flames to be convinced of their power.

Kyrykki grunts. "Actually I am immune to fire but I'm not sure that I can see any advantage to put that to just now. I can jump through and see if it puts the trap out. The people here must have a way to get out. Maybe there's a pressure plate or something? What do you think?"

"I don't know, all I know is if we stay here, we're dead. Whatever we're going to do, we have to do it fast."
Elbras looks around to see if he can see any kind of mechanism, pressure panel, anything that could help them out.

Kyrykki attempts to leap through the fire behind them to see if there is a way to deactivate the trap.

Aeden looks over to Corithalion. " Do you have a reflction spell that can bounce the fireball effect back to them? Or can you set a fireball on the end of my arrows so we can retaliate? we cannot just stay here. I fear that if we stay, we will be herded as if we were baby chicks into a pond. Also, we also do not know if they are coming up from behind us and will be waiting for us when the wall of fire comes down."
Aeden looks through the opening behind them to see if she can see anyone moving; if she can, she'll shoot at it.

To Elbras:
You search the rocks nearby for any trigger device, but find nothing. Either there is none, it is invisible, or it is inside the fire wall. As you search, a fire arrow hits dangerously close to you, burning away the edges of your clothes, but causing no serious damage.
To Kyrykki:
You leap through the fire wall, and not suprisingly, suffer no damage from its heat. The only sign of your passing is a slight disruption of the flames, and a few more burn marks on your clothing and equipment.
To Aeden:
You lean out into the doorway, and have no trouble spotting the fire-tipped arrows of four archers on the platform across from the door. You release your arrow, but before you can see it's effect, the return shots force you do duck back behind cover.
To All:
The sounds of movement inside grow louder and closer, then stop. You hear what can only be commands of some kind, but in a language you do not understand.
