I have completed all the Brotherhood quests I know of; Still in the Dark (getting into the bunker using Veronica), Eyesight to the Blind, The missing laser pistol, the virus, and ED-E my love (gave him to the Brotherhood) and my only related quest left is Veronica's.

Now my question is whether it's possible to get an idolised reputation with them, as at the moment I'm only liked, but haven't done anything that would given infamy, but I heard that you don't get fame for doing veronica's mission (like ED-E's).

While I have had an idolized rep with them, I can't be 100% sure modding/patches didn't play a role. If there's anything left that would boost you to idolized, it would be allying with them for the final battle. Note, you won't be able to do this when choosing to side with certain factions.

I was able to get to idolized the one time I kept McNamara as Elder, but it takes quite a few travelling to do all the quests.

The other time I sided with Hardin, and Liked was the best I got. It is much less work to get the Power Armor training.

Pretty sure your Charisma stat affects how much fame is granted by doing a particular quest, although yeah the Brotherhood seems to be the only faction that is at all difficult to reach Idolized with if you have an average Charisma. I've never gotten beyond Liked myself on several passes.

I'm not sure how charisma affects it, but I am 1 CH, a Paladin, and am accepted.

I wonder if you could achieve idolized if you stole nothing from them (assuming you raided the footlockers), and didn't install Hardin.

On a side-note, the self-destruct was highly disappointing and it (understandably) vilifies you. All I wanted to do was kill McNamara,

I hold bunker destruction experience has to be on par or surpass Raven Rock. Since you're guaranteed to not get a scripted Fawkes come running in with a gatling laser, and I'm not fighting enclave advanced power armor and sentry bots and deathclaws, the little Hidden Valley Bunker is just screaming disappointment.

Okay, well thanks for your help everyone-I guess I'll just have to make them ally with the NCR when that pops up and see what happens
