So I went to talk to the BoS after finding some dead guys in the top floor of repconn and they send me out to prove myself by putting a slave collar on me and tell me to attack a NCR ranger. The NCR ranger seemed like a nice guy and I wasn't just going to kill him in cold blood so I warn him and he takes the collar off and the BoS come out of nowhere and attack us I think there was about 5 of them. So I'm like thats fine if your going to be a bunch of pricks i'll just kill ya and vendor your armor for lots of caps so I go to thier bunker getting the key off one of the corpse's and kill a few more then retreat went and did some other stuff for awhile and then decided that I would farm them. I fast travel to hidden valley and wait till nightfall and then about 6 of em come walking out of the bunker but now they are friendly so i'm like WTF? it still shows vilified on the map and I made sure to switch armors to different factions NCR,Legion and they are still friendly so i'm like well ok makes it easier to kill them so I start shooting anyways. They just totally ignore me except for the one i'm killing and I losekarma for eveyone that I kill. So i'm like thats a very messed up bug so then i'm like lets go to black rock mountain and kill super mutants for thier loot instead fast travel there and i'm friendly with them too now so WTF is going on... the only thing I can think of is I have a mod that allows me to steal things from evil factions without losing karma and it may of messed with my factions standings some how. I did wonder down into the bunker and talk to mcnamara and everything but he doesn't offer me quests for anything they are all just friendly and the super mutants might of turned friendly after completing the quest at the radio station to remove tabitha but I wouldn't think that would matter there...

Honestly the armor isn't worth farming, too bulky and in generally lousy condition - better value to weight ratio in the weapons/ammo.

You sure you aren't killing these guys in sneak - if an npc group is friendly, and you kill one of them while hidden with a silent weapon (ie silenced sniper) they will not go hostile.

Super mutants on Black Mountain are friendly if you fix Rhonda - but if you attack one openly (not hidden no silencer) they will no longer be neutral to you (unless something is broken or modified by mod)

Do you have jury rigging? When repairing equipped armors, it can lock in the factions of whats worn until another like faction item is equipped/unequipped. NCR, Legion, BoS, White Glove, Great Khans.

Are you traveling with any companions? One would be especially friendly in the BoS Bunker.

I am wearing the non faction T-51b armor thought, although I did try switching to NCR ranger armor and that didn't do anything, I do have jury rigging, I have Raul and ED-E as my companions haven't encountered the other ones yet except for the BoS girl that won't travel with me

I was using the pulse gun so no silencer or anything but I do use sneak to kill just about everything for the sneak critical, not sure why it would let me roam around in thier base dressed as a NCR ranger though.. I didn't try killing any supermutants as I didn't know how that might hurt my faction with the jacobstown that I haven't went to yet.
