I was referred here by another user who thought someone here might be able to help. I'll try to keep this long story, short...

I recently started a couple of new games of Morrowind, one for myself and one for my daughther. The odd thing is, we are both being attacked by NPC's for no reason. I'm not talking about Ordinators, or guards because I have a bounty, and I'm not running Bloodmoon, so the Werewolf thing is not the problem - the attacks seem completely random. My daughter was out of the Census/Excise office in Seyda Neen for about ten seconds, literally, before she was attacked by some on-the-street NPC. Very frustrating. I've been attacked in Balmora at the Magicians Guild, the Fighters Guild as well as by some "patrons" of the Rat-in-the-Pot in Ald-Ruhn.

I was told that someone in this forum might be able to write a script that would stop NPC's from becoming hostile, or stop them once they've started attacking. If that's the case, something like that would certainly be appreciated.

Oh, and by the way, I know how to open the Construction Set, but that's about it... so any directions that I would have to follow will need to be pretty specific.

Any and all assistance, deeply appreciated.

Uhm, I don't know about scripts or whatnot, but I do know a little about plugin conflicts. That particular thing happened to me when I tried to run the 'Adweena's Rest' plugin. It completely changed the nolore values. If you happen to be running that mod, try disabling it and see where that gets you.

Asclepus:

How right you were.

While I had to determine this for myself, your diagnosis was absolutely correct. I started a new game with NO plug-ins loaded and started adding them one at a time, looking for errors during loading and then during game play. Sure enough, the "Adweena's Rest" mod was the culprit. I'd like to send that modder a little "thank you" note if I could find their e-mail address.
